The daughters of Ganondorf: chapter 9 the red wings knights
Link woke up with a start. He had dreams like that before. Back when he first started his journey. But then he had The great Deku tree to help him understand them. But he can't go back to the forest. Not without ...her
Then Link remembered something. He wasn't the only one who suffered from bad dreams. Getting dressed he left his room and made his way to palace proper. It was still very early in the morning. The sun wasn't even over the horizon yet. Only a few servants here are there we're up at this hour, everyone else was still in bed. He doubted however that would be a problem.
Link made his way into the same courtyard that he made his way to the first time he came to Hyrule Castle. By time you found it the sun was already high in the sky. But when he finally got there he found what he was looking for. Princess Zelda was wearing a dress of white and purple. The sun reflecting off her golden hair gave her a otherworldly aura. She saw Link come in. Her guards tried to stop him from approaching, but she gave away from her hand and allowed him to come near.
"What can I do for you this morning sir Link?"asked Zelda. "I'm sorry to disturb you princess Zelda." said Link. " But I have to ask you something. Did you have a nightmare last night?" Zelda gave him a look of shock. "How did you know that?" She asked him. "Because I had one to." Link said. Zelda stared at him for moment. "In my dream." She said. " A huge black dragon covered the entire land in shadow. Then a light appeared and banished the shadow. The light then transformed into a demon or god. I couldn't tell which."
Link felt sick. This demon". He asked. "Did it have a double helix sword?" Zelda stared at him then noded."You had the same dream I take it?" Asked Zelda. "Yes" answered Link. "Or at least I had one like it." "It must be a prophecy." Said Zelda. "We have to tell someone!" Who would we tell?" Asked Link. "And who would believe us?" "Impa." Said Zelda. "We can tell Impa." "Can Impa order the armies of Hyrule?" Asked Link. "Can she summon the knights to battle?" "Well no." Conceited Zelda. "But she can set a watch." "I suppose that'll have to do." Said Link. "But I recommend not telling very many people about our dream ,at least for now." Zelda seeing the wisdom in this conceited. And link bowing to her took his leave.
After leaving the princess and getting back to his own room he found Lance waiting there for him. He was holding the Great Fairy's Sword. He was examining the blade when Link walked in. "There you are." He said putting the sword down gently. "I came to look for you. Vos said that you are already awake and went out early this morning." You could have just left a message for me, or sent a subordinate." Said Link. "True." Lance admitted. "But I'm interested in you. There's so much about you that's unknown. I'm hoping by getting to know you better I can unravel some of that mystery." "Good luck." Said link. "But even those who know me best don't know me very well." Lance just smiled at him. "We'll see." He said.
After packing all of his meager belongings Lance was leading Link to the red wing headquarters. "So that's sword." Said Lance. "I've never seen anything like it. Where did you get it?" Link thought for a moment."I bought it." He said finally. "Bought it you say?" Replied Lance. "Whatever you paid I'll pay you 10 times for it." Link let out a bitter laugh. "I did not pay in rupee captain. And only a fool would pay it again let alone 10 times." Link said. Lance was quiet after that. Link eventually asked. "So what will I be doing with the red wings?" "I've requested that you've be assigned to my squad." Lance said. "After that we'll have to see what orders we get." "What do you mean?" Ask Link. "The Red Wing Knights are not like other knight companies." said Lance. "We don't go on patrol and we aren't stationed at a garrison." "So what do you do?" Asked Link. " We investigate." Said Lance. "We go

The daughters of Ganondorf chapter 7: Dream of The Shadow
Link was on his way back to his room when Vos came running up. "Link what are you doing?" He asked. "If you don't sell yourself to the generals you'll get stuck with the blue horse knights." Link was confused by that and asked. "What?" Vos glared at him. " You really don't know anything do you?" Link shrugged.
Vos let out a sigh and said. "Look there are four knights companies in Hyrule. The blue horse, the yellow sun, the green moon, and the red wings. Now the red wings are the elite knights, no rookie has a chance of joining them. The yellow sun, and the green moon knights are what you want. Both provide experience and opportunity for people like us. The blue horse on the other hand. I won't lie that's where the talentless and the old folk to stubborn to retire go. And it's exactly where you don't want to end up".
Link felt bad for Vos. He asked him. "Shouldn't you be back there then?" "No." said Vos. "The general of the green moon knights promised me a place with them." Now Link felt guilty. He knew how Vos would react to him being able to join the red wings. But still Vos was the closest thing to a friend he had here so he wanted to be honest with him.
"Will actually." Link said. "I was given an offer to join the red wings by their general." Vos looked at him in disbelief. " Okay well if that's the case what was the general's name?" He asked. "Lucina Windgates Valentine, house Valentine, last daughter of the Valentine family." Link replied. Vos' face which went from shock to anger. Then he began to smile, a small smile but a smile nonetheless. "Will I shouldn't be surprised." He said. "With all the luck you've been having since you got here." Vos let out a depressed sigh. "It just doesn't seem fair that's all."
Link put a hand on Vos' shoulder. "If it makes you feel any better, I'd rather not be here at all." He said. Vos looked up at him. "You know It kind of does." He said. Both of them laughed. After that Vos went back to the party, well Link went to his room and went to bed.
Link was standing on a mountain top. High above him stood five figures covered in shadow. The sky and ground where covered by thick black clouds. The five figures where not focused on him, but rather something behind him. Link turned to see Hyrule Castle but it was wrong. It looked like it was abandoned. All the windows were broken vegetation was all over it.
Then Link saw something behind the castle. At first it looked like a shadow. But then it moved. Two massive wings covered the sky and a huge head looked over the castle and stared down right at Link. An enormous black dragon lit the sky with blood red fire and with the dragon's roar Link woke up.

The daughters of Ganondorf: chapter 6 ceremony
It was decided that's the graduation ceremony would take place in 2 weeks. The time came and went before Link new it. He and a few other Knights including Vos we're all given ceremonial clothing. Everything was pure white with no defining features at all.
The other Knights went before Link did. When he got inside the room was almost empty. A few nobles will still there though they seemed more interested in each other than the graduation ceremony. Of course the guards assigned to defend the nobles were still there, as well as the knights that escorting Link.
And of course the king in all of his splendor sitting on the throne a ceremonial sword resting on his lap. He was the very definition of royalty. Link had expected to see him here but what he did not expect to see was Zelda sitting on his right hand side. She too was dressed for the occasion, wearing a dress of scarlet and white. Her and Link's eyes mat for a brief moment then she looked away quickly. Link saw what he thought was guilt in her eyes. But before he could think any more about it Link was standing before the king.
Well kneeling before him. The King stood to his full height. this is the first time link had actually seen the king face to face. He was tall with broad shoulders, a Long White Beard with long white hair he held the ceremonial sword like he knew how to use it. the way the shadow fell over his eyes made him look more like an executioner than a king. Until he spoke. he spoke with a regal authority you would expect from a king his voice seemed carry further than it should.
"Knight hopeful"he said."Your skill and progress are apparent to all. Tell me thy name." Link was awestruck for a minute he had expected a weak and feeble man, not the beast of one standing before him. Recomposing himself he said. "I am Link." The king raised an eyebrow. "Just Link? have you no family no heritage?" Link shook his head and replied. "I have no father no people no heritage sire." "In that case". Said the king. "I hereby dub thee Link the son of nune, Knight of Hyrule." Link stood up. The King Alfred Link the ceremonial sword. Link accepted it with a bow ,he was then escorted out of the main hall.
A dinner party was held after all the ceremony was done with. Link was provided with clothes for the occasion. Link had never felt more out of place anywhere. People wearing purple and Scarlet clothing all colors of nobility. Amongst them he saw some people in armor. It appeared that all of the knight generals we're at this occasion, as well as their immediate subordinates. The only one link recognized was Lucina of the red wings. One of the knights that had just graduated was talking with her. She looked like she was about ready to tear his head off.
Feeling uncomfortable and out of place link just left shortly after arriving. he began to make his way back to the courtyard when he heard somebody coming up behind him. He didn't know who he was expecting but he did know it wasn't princess Zelda. She was still dressed in the same clothes she had on for the ceremony. Link greeted her with a low bow. "Please sir Link don't bow to me". She said gilt dripping from her words. Link stood up straight and looked her in the eyes. She quickly looked away.
Link didn't know how to feel about her. On the one hand he and Zelda fought against Ganondorf together. On the other hand that wasn't this Zelda. That Zelda was shaped by 7 years of hiding running and training to survive. So yes this was Zelda, but this wasn't his Zelda. "Can I do anything for you your majesty?" He asked her. She shook her head. "No I came to apologize." She said. "I am aware how my father forced you into this and I'm sorry." She gave him a low bow."Please forgive me and my father.
Link stared at her for a long while unsure of what to say. Eventually he just let out a sigh. "What's done is done, nothing we can do to change it now." He said. Zelda stood up straight. "I truly am sorry." Said Zelda. "If I had the power to return you to your farm I would. But my father, god's forgive me for speaking ill of him, have taken away most of my political power. And now I can't even tell the guards to stand aside anymore."
The cruel and unfortunate truth is at this time Hyrule has become a dictatorship. After the gerudo civil war the King suddenly became very distrustful of his neighbors. His distrust turn to paranoia. Now he fears power he controls what he can and destroys what he can't. Link was not the first to be taken from their home and forced to serve in the army.
Link and Zelda said there farewell and went their separate ways.

The daughters of Ganondorf chapter 5: A letter for Link.
It was late in the afternoon when Link finally got back to his room. The sun was just about to go down, the sky was just turning orange. Link went up to his room and encountered a very livid Vos. "Care explain to me what THIS is?!" Vos was holding the letter that said Link was graduating early from training.
Link looked over to Vos' desk and saw the same type of letter on it. "You tell me it looks like you got one too." Link said with a shrug. "I know what it is I want to know why YOU got one?!" "Probably the same reason you got one." Said Link his voice very apathetic.
"I got one." Said Vos. "Because for the last two years I have distinguished myself and proven I am the best knight hopeful of this generation. But all you are is some Farm Boy who got here yesterday!" Link Shrugged off question and sat at his desk.
Vos through the letter in Link's face and slammed his hand on the desk. "I know your type. A nobody who joined the knights seeking Glory. You think this is a easy way of getting Fame and Fortune. Well I've got news for you brat, your kind never make it here. Within a year at the most you'll be begging to go back home, count on it."
Link stood up and let the letter hit the floor. Vos took a step back. From the first time he met Link he had been nonchalant almost careless. This however was something else. Link's eyes we're on fire with anger. He spoke in a voice so cold that it made Vos step back in fear. "You don't know me." Link said taking a step forward. "What would a self-absorbed blue-blooded kid like you know about me. You don't know what I've seen what I've done what I left behind for your sake." Link had Vos pinned up against the wall. "let me tell you why I'm here. I'm here because I know how to kill without feeling, I'm here because I know what it's like to see people die, I'm here because a monarch who has no idea what is best for his people decided I was too dangerous to live a life of peace!" Link slammed his fist into the stone wall behind Vos making cracks in it. "That is why I'm here you ignorant child."
Link turned around and sat down at his desk again. Vos left the room immediately slamming the door behind him. Link put his head in his hands and let out a sigh. He picked the letter of off the floor and began to read it. And then he put it back down on his desk when you read the words 'To whom this may concern'. It was only now that he realize there was another letter on his desk. Unsure of who might be sending it to him he opened it.
Deer Link
How was the first day of training. I hope you made a friend you know so you won't be lonely. Are you sleeping okay? Remember even if you don't get a lot of sleep some is better than none. I know it's only been a day but I miss you. I'm holding you to your promise so come back as soon as you can.
Your's Malon.
Suddenly Link felt very guilty over his Outburst at Vos. Link made a mental note to apologize to him when next he saw him. Putting those feelings aside for now he picked up a spare piece of parchment and a quilt and begin writing.
Deer Malon
Just read your letter. thanks I really needed that. I am getting some sleep so don't worry. I'm skipping trading and going straight into Knighthood. I don't regret this it just means I can come see you sooner. I miss you too. So you can be sure I'll come and see you as soon as I can.
Your's Link
Link got up and left his room. He asked a nearby guard where you could find the nearest post box. The Knight pointed him to the southern end of the training Courtyard.
When he got there who should he encounter but Vos. He was holding a letter looking at the post box, he looked very unsure of something. Link put his letter in the post box and then said. "Vos." Vos looked up and jump back. Suddenly realizing who it was in front of him. "I'm sorry I just been so frustrated at being here I was wrong to take it out on you please forgive me."
Vos seem to to relax and said. "I'm sorry to I shouldn't have started anything with you. It's just all my life I've been told that being a knight is the highest honor in the Kingdom. My grandfather father and all my brothers were noble knights in their own right. And it's stressful trying to live up to their example." Link gave a nod, he understood all too well trying to live up to expectations.
"Where are they now." Asked Link. "Your father and brothers I mean." Vos look down. "They're dead." He said. "They were killed in the war seven years ago. The only one still alive is my oldest brother, but a injury left him crippled and forced him into an early retirement. Now everybody expects me to carry on this family tradition."
Link didn't know what to say. He thought Voss was just a stuck-up nobleman. But he had been through some things. Being forced to live to do a destiny that you didn't choose was something link understood all too well.
Link put out his hand. Vos and he shook hands and went back to the room for the night. Voss used the letter he had as kindling for a fire. Link didn't know what the letter was about and he didn't ask. He figured it was best to just let it go.

The daughters of Ganondorf chapter 4: interrogation and interview
Link woke up chained to a stone chair.(I guess they think I'd break through ropes)Link thought to himself. Link examined the room around him. It was a circular room, very dark, the only light was coming from a small window shining in his face.
Impa was standing across from him. Her arms crossed giving him a suspicious glare. Link stretch his neck and asked "You want to tell me what this is about?". Impa walked up to him and put a short blade to his throat. "I'm going to ask you some questions and you're going to answer them truthfully, understand?".
Not waiting for him to answer she asked "Tell me everything you know.". Link responded by whistling the first few notes of Zelda's Lullaby. Impa was shocked and pierced Links skin a little, causing blood to trickle down his neck. "How do you know that song?!" "I know it because you taught it to me." Link said. "Well not you but....." "Get to the point!" Impa demanded. "Alright lady Impa what do you really know about the Temple of Time?"
Link went on to explain important details about the other timeline. Not everything he knew, he left out his adventures and Termina, and he didn't share every detail about his adventures in Hyrule. He just explained enough to satisfy her. Impa put her blade away and began unlocking Link's chains.
"As unlikely as your story sounds I believe you. Only the strange fate of the Royal Family would have led to such events." The chains fell off Link with a heavy clink. Link stood up and started stretching, it felt like he was sitting on that chair for hours. "So I'm free to go?" He asked. "Yes, I still don't like the fact that you know so much but for what you did, well for what you tried to do I'll let you go."
Impa knock on the only door in the room. "Thaden get in here." She said. Before too long another Sheikah walked into the room. Link knew it was a Sheikah not by how he look but by what he was wearing. His face was completely obscured by a mask. "Show him back to the barracks." She told him. He nodded, and gestured for Link to follow him.
Thaden didn't say anything, just lead him down the castles dungeons, and out to one of the many ornate hallways of the Castle. When they got a little ways down someone called to Thaden from behind.
"Ha Thaden!" A man in what looks to be Noble casual wear was running in their Direction. Thaden lowered his hood and mask. He had the same white hair and red eyes as every other sheikah did. The only thing was a huge scar on the left side of his face.
"Lord Havarl." He said addressing the noble. "I take it this is the Knight hopeful that caused all the commotion today?" Asked the nobleman. "He is." Answered Thaden. "Link this is lord Lance Amadeus Havarl. My lord this is Link." Lance extended his hand to Link. "It's a pleasure to meet officially." He said. (Officially?) Link thought to himself. Link took a closer look at the man, and realized it was the same knight that interrupted his fight this morning. "I almost didn't recognize you without your armor, pleasures mine."
The two shook hands. Lance then turn toward Thaden. "I'll take it from here ,you can go." He said. Thaden gave a small bowel then left. Lance turn back to Link. "If you don't mind there's somebody who wants to talk to you." He said. "If you don't want to go now that's fine we can do it later if you would like." Link Shrugged. "I've got nothing better to do right now so why not."
Lance lead him out of the castle and to a tower. It had banners with the same red bird as he saw on Lance's armor. When they got inside they went into a an office. A woman was sitting at a desk. She was wearing golden armor and a long red cape. Her hair was red and other than a scar over her eye and an eye patch she was very beautiful.
When she saw him come in she stood up from her chair. "Link I presume." She said. She extended her hand. "It's good to finally meet face-to-face." Link shook her hand. "You have me at a disadvantage Miss....?" She smiled at him. "I am Lucina Wingates Valentine , house Valentine, last of the Valentine family, and Knight General of the Red Wings." "I'm Link." She chuckled a little and then set back down.
"Onto business then. You're wondering why you're here." She said. Link at across from her. " I assume it has something to do with my introduction this morning." He said. She smiled at him again. "No actually. This has to do with your actions during the Battle of Lon-Lon Ranch seven years ago." The battle of Lon Lon Ranch. Link thought back to it. "I remember now." He said. "You we're one of the knights fighting Ganondorf." She nodded. "You remembered good that saves me having to explain a few things. Now I'd like to ask you a few questions. First what are the name of your parents?"
Link thought about lying but decided quickly that it was probably better to tell the truth. "I don't know anything about my father. As for my mother the only thing I know is that she died carrying me into the forest." He said. "Then who raised you?" She asked. "The guardian Spirit of the forest the great Deku Tree." He answered. She just stared at him for a moment. "Well that's neat"
This line of questioning continued over the next few minutes. Eventually Link stopped her and asked. "Is there a point to all of this?" "Yes actually." She said. "In truth I was judging your reactions rather than your answers." "So what do you think?" He asked. "Well you answer truthfully from what I can tell. And you took this seriously which you should have. Overall I think you did pretty well." "So now what?" He asked. "Now? Now I extend an invitation to you to join the Red Wing Knights." She said. Link gave her a confused look. "I appreciate your offer, but don't I have to train for like 3 years before I can join a proper company of knights?" "Ordinarily yes however, the king has saw fit to allow you and a few other Knight hopefuls graduate early." She said.
"Really why?" Asked Link. "Officially it's because you already possess enough skill to be a knight proper." She said. She leaned in closer and said in a quiet voice. "In reality your little display this morning spooked the king. He wants you under his Direct command as soon as possible. Letting the other Knights graduate early is just to keep the Nobles from complaining that their children didn't graduate early."
Link leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh. "I suppose there's nothing left to be said then. I accept your offer." Link wasn't heartbroken over this. It just means that he could get his five mandatory years of Knighthood over with. After that he was free to do what he wanted. "Glad to hear it." She said. "Now we still have to wait until you're properly knighted, but once all the formalities are over with I think you'll make an excellent addition to the Red Wings ,welcome sir Link."

The daughters of Ganondorf chapter 3: day one
Link and the Knights escorting him arrived at the castle just before night fall. The sun was still hovering over the horizon the sky a shade of Orange. Link was escorted into the castle and through a courtyard where he saw a group of young nights just relaxing after the days of training.
Link was escorted into the barracks. The night who was escorting him showed him to a little room down the second floor hallway. The room was nothing special, two beds and two desks giving the room a symmetrical look.
"This bed and desk are yours to use as you see fit within reason." Said the night gesturing to the left side of the room. "You'll be sharing this room with another Knight hopeful so try to be courteous. Training will begin at first light tomorrow be there or will come and get you." And with that he left.
Link went to the bed on the left and started to unpack some of this stuff. His sword and shield he sat next to the desk. As he was unloading some spare clothing his roommate came into the room.
"So You're My new roommate huh?" He asked examining Link. "You don't look all that impressive." Link locked up at the man. He was older than link but still young. Unlike the white armor of the other night he was wearing a set of Grey armor. He was holding his helmet under his arm, brown eyes glaring at him from behind a head of tangled blonde hair. "I'm not here to impress you." Link said going back to unpacking.
The man scuffed and walked over to his side of the room placing his helmet on his desk and began taking off his armor. "Let's get one thing straight, you're new here so I'll go easy on you tomorrow. But I am Vos Romaine Ascania, and I am the best Knight hopeful of this generation, so if you think you can replace me you're dead wrong." He said.
Link just laughed under his breath. This man had absolutely no idea who he was talking to. "I'll keep that in mind." Link said to him. "Well good, glad we straightened that out." He replied. Link finished unpacking and Vos finished sorting his armor. When they both were done they went to sleep.
Link did not sleep well that night. It wasn't uncommon, it was either he didn't sleep well at all or he did sleep well but his nights were plagued with nightmares. Any case he got up Before Dawn and just played his Ocarina while he waited.
As Dawn approached link went back to his room to find Vos up and dressing himself in his armor. "Morning." He's said to Link as he came into the room. Link wave the hand of acknowledgement. At first light a soldier came into the room. She was wearing a chainmail vest and pants with leather boots and gloves, and a white tabard with a blue horse and no helmet.
"Good morning lord Ascania. Newbie come with me." She said pointing at Link. Link follow her out and to a blacksmith's shop just a little ways away from the knights training ground. "I'm Gabriella by the way it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She said. "I'm Link pleasures mine." They shook hands and she directed in towards the blacksmith shop. "I was ordered to get you geared up for today's training. So what do you prefer, plate or chainmail?" "Chainmail." He responded almost without hesitation. Within a few minutes Link had on a set of light chainmail armor.
"That's a good fit. You should head over to the Courtyard now I'm sure they're waiting for you." Said Gabriella. Link went over and found himself in a row of newcomers like himself. Their instructor came and started showing each of them the basics. Trying to get them a custom to moving around in armor. This effort however was wasted on Link. Although he never fought in armor in the past, and this suit of chainmail was heavier than he was used to, he was still plenty strong and was not slow down by it at all.
At the end of the day their instructor challenge each of them to a one-on-one fight. There are each given out wooden weapons and were ordered to do everything in their power to win. And so the trainees all lost to the instructor until finally it was Link's turn.
"Alright come at me with everything you have." He said clearly not knowing what he was getting himself into. Link took his ready stance. And in a blink of an eye he was already behind the instructor and had landed a critical blow on the back of his neck.
Suddenly the whole Courtyard stopped and everyone turned to see what exactly just happened. Other instructors rushed to the scene. Some made sure that their friend was alright others challenge Link to a fight. Link made quick work of all of them. This continued for some time. Link would beat an instructor and would immediately be challenged by another.
Finally something different happened. "What's going on here!?" Yelled a man. The crowd that had gathered parted to let in the same night that had come to get Link. The man looked around seeing all the defeated instructors. "Shameful and you call yourselves Knights of Hyrule. You are instructing these men and you can't even beat a knight hopeful!?" The man was visibly angry he pushed away the other instructors that were in line to fight taking a practice spear from one of them and lowered at Link. "I'll deal with this one myself." He said before taking a ready stance.
Link entered his ready stats. When the fight began it was obvious at this Knight was different from the others. Despite his size he was actually really fast and very skilled with that Spear of his. But Link was no slouch either. He countered every attack that was made on him as the battle grew more and more Furious the wooden weapons that they have been using shattered into splinters.
Link and the knight through they're broken weapons away. "Git me and him some real weapons. We are not ending this now." Said the Knight Commander. "Are you serious you'll cut each other to ribbons." Said one of the instructors. "Just get a couple of dull weapons then." When the weapons arrived the battle continued. Although the weapons were dull they were still much heavier than the wooden ones and could easily break bone. Keeping this in mind Link took the offensive this time.
What followed was a series of savage exchanges. Every time link would get in a hit he would immediately pull back dodging the man's spear thrust before immediately charging back in or blocking getting in a good hit.
"ENOUGH!" Screamed the Knight Commander. He jumped away from Link's onslaught and took his ready stance again. But this time blue fire started to wrap around the Spearhead. "I'm going to make you wish you've never been born boy." He said. But before he could unleash his attack he stopped. "Captain Havarl what are you doing here?" Link turned around to see what the that man was talking about. A man in silver armor wearing a red cape with a red bird across his chest stood across from Link. "I could ask you the same thing Commander." He said walking over to the Knight Commander. "Are you so without honor that you will kill this man for proving he is more skilled than you?" Ask the captain. "Captain Havarl I...." he stopped what he was about to say.
Link was in the process of charging his great Spin Attack. Blue fire turns to Orange and with a spin a fiery Nova interrupted from his sword. No one was hurt that was not the intention of this attack it was just to end things. The whole crowd was stunned from the captain to the lowliest hopeful nobody said a word. Link dropped his sword and shield. "May I be excused sir?" Asked Link. The captain just smiled. "Dismissed son." With that Link headed back to his room.
Before he could get too far though Vos caught him by the shoulder. "Who are you?" He asked as sad and confused and angry as he was. Link brushed the hand off of his shoulder and said. "My name is Link." And with that he walked away. As Link was getting close to his room he felt what was like a bee sting on his neck. When he reached up he pulled a dart out of his neck. Link Vision began to blur and before he knew it he was unconscious.

The daughters of Ganondorf chapter 2: drafted
Link didn't even get a week. It was in the middle of the day, he and Malon had just finished their daily jobs and where about to start relaxing when the noise of armored horses Thunderbird from the ranch's front entrance.
Link went out to meet then. There were six Knights in all. They all wore white armor the symbol of a blue horse painted across their chest. The knight at the head of the group was a huge man with a much more ornate helmet and a blue cape.
Talon and Malon we're watching from just inside the house door. Ingo was watching from inside the barn. "To what do I owe the pleasure sir Knight?" He asked already knowing the answer. The man said nothing, instead he just road up a little and handed Link the same scroll Impa had given him. And it was the same scroll the seal was already broken and everything.
Link didn't even bother opening the letter. He just took it from the Knight never breaking eye contact. "May I have a few minutes to gather a few things?" Asked Link. "Very well we will wait for you outside the ranch, but don't take too long or we will come and get you."
The knights left the ranch as they said they would. Link went to the makeshift room Talon had made for him when he came to live here. It was on the ground floor very simple but Link ever needed. He was rummaging through some of his old stuff. he picked up the Gilded sword which at one point was the Kokiri sword. A weapon he had all his life though as an adult it was more of a long dagger or short sword. But the Great Fairy sword that was a proper size for him now.
The Great Fairy sword was the most powerful weapon outside the Master sword that Link had ever used. It's blade never dulled over the long years of neglect, the black roses on the blade was still as detailed as they were when he first obtained the sword.
Malon came into the room. Link acknowledged her presents then continued sorting through his things. She sat in a corner and was quiet for a long time. But eventually she did say something. "Do you promise that you'll come back to us?" Link stopped and hung his head. "Malon there's nothing I can say to you that will provide comfort. I do promise to do everything in my power to come back as soon as I can but gods knows when that will be."
Link continued to rummage through some of his old things. "Is there any way you can stay?" Malon asked choking back tears. Link never looked at her. Seeing her on the verge of tears would make him crack. "Malon I......" Link voice died in his throat. Slowly and very carefully he pulled out an artifact he had tried so hard to forget about.
The Fierce Deity's mask. A reminder of his greatest achievement and greatest failure. Link of course had other artifacts he brought over from Termina but none of them reminded him of all that transpired there quite like this mask.
Malon huged Link from the back wrapping her arms gently around his neck. She had seen the mask before. She accidentally found it one time when she was cleaning out his room without his knowledge. He had gotten so angry at her. Later when she tried apologize he beat her to it. He said something about the mask represented something more valuable than his life.
Link stood up and faced Malon. "This mask is more valuable to me than anything else that I own." He handed the mask to her. "I want you to look after this while I'm gone. I'll come get it from you one day I promise. In the meantime however I know that I can trust this to you." Malon slowly and cautiously took the mask from him. She threw her arms around him and he embraced her.
Link pact the great fairies sword and his hero Shield. The Shield was a bit small now but it was still usable. He met the knight outside the ranch when they saw him coming they provided him with a horse. They set out for Hyrule Castle. Link Knighthood training was about to begin.
This has been chapter 2 of what I hope to be a long-running Legend of Zelda fanfiction. Thank you for reading and please stay tuned for chapter 3.

The daughters of Ganondorf: chapter one a royal invitation.
Link and Malon started to walk back to the barn when they saw a carriage sent by the Royal Family. (Probably here to pick up some milk and cheese).Link thought to himself.
As they got closer Ingo came out to meet them." There you are, where have you been?" He asked Link in a stern voice." Well nevermind, some woman asked for you by name. She's in the house right now." "Who?" Asked Link. " don't know, but she look like one of them Shadow Folk. Can't tell you much else though she kept her Hood up."
A Sheikah? Here? That wasn't good and Link knew it. Sheikah never come to a place for good reasons. Link went into the barn and put the bucket down next to a dairy cow. As he left he noticed some of the hired help that came to collect the royal familys order motioning in his Direction and then whispering to each other.
His involvement in the battle 7 years ago was under played but not what anyone would call a secret. A young boy barely in his teens turning the tide of battle into the favor of Hyrule was not something the king wanted to be public knowledge.
As Link enter the house he saw a woman in a long black cloak that covered her entire body and a hood obscuring most of her face standing across from Talon, who had a very nervous look on his face." I'll leave you two alone then." He said before walking out of the house at a brisk pace.
The woman lowered her hood to reveal a familiar face. Impa Zelda's bodyguard. Link did not like her company, she reminded him too much of that timeline. At the same time Impa didn't like Link very much. This young man new much more than he should. She didn't know how much but she knew it was too much.
" To what do I owe this pleasure lady Impa?" Asked Link. " I think we both know the answer to that young Warrior." She was right of course. Only one reason why the princesses bodyguard would come all the way here to meet him. Impa handed Link an ornate scroll sealed with the symbol of a royal family. Link broke the seal and read it.
To whom this may concern. By order of the king an invitation to join the hyrulian nights has been extended to the recipient of this letter.
The letter continued on describe the many benefits and how great an honor it was to be considered to become a knight. Which wasn't not true being a knight was usually reserved for members of nobility. Every now and again though a commoner would receive an invitation if they had sufficient skill. But Link had already fought a war. And after it he went and fought a demon in a parallel world. He was tired of fighting, and this invitation was not about to change his attitude.
" I appreciate the offer but I'm afraid I must decline." Said Link handing the letter back to her. " You do know this letter is just a formality right? The king will not allow somebody of your caliber to work as a simple farmhand." Said impa in a frustrated voice. " Yes I know." He replied. Impa was now getting visibly frustrated with Link. " Then why decline? The King will just send a battalion of knights to force you to come to the castle." Link narrowed his eyes. " Is that a threat oh Sage of Shadow?"
Impa was taken back by that. Nobody knew about that, not even the king. "What do you know about such things?" She asked her voice quivering with anger and fear. Silence filled the room, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Link considered answering her question but decided against it, too wise to tell all.
After a long while Link broke the silence. "I appreciate the invitation lady Impa, but I'm afraid I must decline." Impa let out a sigh. " Very well I will informed King of your decision." She said before storming out the door. Link let out a sigh of his own, then followed her out.
When Link got outside the Carriage was already pulling away and was halfway out of the ranch. Talon and Ingo were talking in the barn going over what all they took. Malon went up to Link and asked " So what did the woman want?" A look of concern on her face. "I've been given an invitation to join the hyrulian knights." The look of concern worsened on her. Link put a hand on her shoulder. " Don't worry I declined the offer." He said to reassure her. " I'm glad but won't they just come for you in little while anyways?" She asked still very nervous.
There were rumors. There were some commoners didn't want to join the knights but we're forced to anyways. The king it seems is rather afraid of power, and he controls what he can and destroys what he can't. Link wasn't afraid of the king, but for Malon and the others sake he will have to go and become a knight.
Link answered Malon's question with silence she then hugged him burying her face into his chest."I don't want you to go Link." Link embraced her. "I don't want to go either, but if I don't it'll just cause trouble for you and Talon." She pulled away a little bit and looked up at him. "How much longer do you have before you have to go?" She asked tears starting to form in her eyes. "A week, two if I'm lucky. So I don't have to go just yet." He said wiping the tears off her face.
Later that night while everyone else was in bed, Link was laying in the field that just outside the ranch. He was thinking about how long he had been here. Malon had been one of the very few things that have not changed in this timeline. Her personality Love of Animals they were all the same as they were when he first met her. Overtime he grew feelings for her, and she in turn grew feelings for him. But now he was going to have to leave her, and who knows when he would be able to come back. That thought trouble him more than the idea of having to fight some more. Link let out a sigh and set up. He looked across Hyrule Field barely being able to see castletown from here. He remembered the first time he saw it filled him with hope but now the site of it fills him with dread. It wasn't that long of a journey a few hours at the most, but while he will be in the castle it might as well be Infinity.
Link resigned himself to a night without sleep so he got up and started to get in some early exercise.
This has been chapter 1 of what I hope will be a long-running Legend of Zelda fanfiction. Thank you for eating please stay tuned for chapter 2.

The Legend of Zelda :fan fic prologue.
The noise of Battle was growing louder outside. Malon was in a corner praying. Ingo and Talon had their backs pressed up against the door of The Farmhouse, trying desperately to keep the Gerudo forces outside.
Link on the other hand what's sitting on the stairs leading up to the bed room, just waiting for the inevitable.
BOOM ! Ingo and Talon were thrown from the door before putting their backs back into it. Link stood up. BOOM! Ingo and Talon where thrown to the other side of the room this time. Link stood between them and the door. "Link what are you doing get upstairs before...". BOOM the door flew off its hinges and landed on the ground, stopping just shy of where I Link was standing. Link drew his sword.
A iron knuckle stud just outside the door, a giant axe in both hands. The creature took one step forward, but before it could get into the house it saw a flash of green and gold. Suddenly it was pinned to the wall of the barn across from the house. The hilt of a sword and young boy was the last thing it saw before disintegrating into flames.
Link looked back in to the horse, Ingo and Talon had a look on their face that was a mixture of shock amazement and fear.
An appropriate reaction: Link thought to himself. he looked to the Corral where it appeared the majority of the fighting was taking place. " Close the door behind me. Don't come out until it's safe." He told them before making his way to the heart of the battle.
Before even reaching the center of the battle, two Gerudo broke off from a small group and pointed their Spears at Link. Another with two swords appeared behind him.
One thought to herself ( Do we have to kill him he's just a kid.) Another thought (This boy killed an iron knuckle without barely giving it any thought, he's dangerous.)
The Gerudo with spiers charged Link. Fire erupted from his sword. A quick spin later and a nova of Brilliant Orange Flame sent them flying. They're burning husks landing close to where they started their charge.
The Gerudo behind him let out a blood-curdling scream. She leaped forward and landed on the far side of Link. She dropped her swords and fell to her knees and pain. Link had split open her stomach and she flew past him. He stabbed her in the heart through the back to finish her.
Blood splattered on his face and he froze for a moment. Link was not used to fighting human opponents. Most of his foes disintegrated into fire and Ash upon death, blood and gore we're not something he was accustomed to.
But he was accustomed to violence. He wiped the blood on his sleeve and made his way to the center of the battle
The ranch was a mess. The wall on the far side of the ranch was in utter ruins, the fence that made up the Corral was completely destroyed, rocks fired from catapults we're all over the place, the mill was on fire it almost lit the entire battlefield, monsters and Gerudo we're pouring in from the ruined wall, but the Hylian forces were giving as good as they got, at this point the battle could go either way.
And at the center of it all the Demon King himself Ganondorf. He was on horseback a massive Trident in hand. He was doing battle with about a dozen Knights. But Link thought it was more impressive that a dozen Knights were holding their own against Ganondorf.
The Knights were in white armor with a red bird across there chest. Many of them were using a sword and shield, Hylian Shields.
Ganondorf got a good hit on one. Has Trident knocked off her helmet and gouged out her left eye. All of her fellow Knights just rushed him at once as a knight from a different group help get her to a Healer.
Link was about to make his move when a group of about a dozen stalfos charged at him. He pulled out a bomb and killed two of them instantly. The others rushed him in single file making it very easy for him to finish them off with his sword.
Just then three lizalfos jumped at him from behind. He blocked the first one's attack with his shield and promptly cut him in half. The other two are attacked at once. Link then called upon Din's fire. The two were instantly incinerated.
Link looked to his side. A terrified young Gerudo Warrior was tightly gripping her spear tears rolling down her eyes. She wasn't very old, 18 at the most. Yet here she was a child in the midst of a battle. It appears she had realized of fate, she was going to die today, and nobody would ever know her name.
Link turned away from her. A stupid move but one he did not regret. Dropping her spear she made a break for the nearest exit she could find, out the front entrance of the ranch.
Link wasn't a child, not anymore. Not after all he seen, not after all he's done. His battle with Ganondorf, his adventures in termina afterwards. He was fully mature, at this point it was just a matter of his body catching up.
Link turns to face Ganondorf once again. He was still fighting with the Knights. The sun began to rise turning the sky Orange.
Link stepped forward when he heard a female's voice call him by name from behind him. "Link". He turned around nobody was there. "Link". The Voice came from behind him again. He recognize this voice.
Link woke up. The Sun reflecting off of brilliant red hair. Malon kicked Link's boots. "Link wake up". Link set up and rip the back of his head, silently observing that a wooden board makes for a terrible pillow.
It has been 7 years since the Battle of Lon Lon Ranch, and 9 years since Link came to this timeline. Link and Malon we're now fully of age and considered adults by Society.
"Link if you don't hurry and get up Ingo will make you clean the horse stalls by yourself again". Malon said a hint of sass in her voice. Link slowly got to his feet.
" What time is it?" Asked Link. "It's about noon." Malon told him. Link looked at the ranch as it is now. The wall Corral and Mill had been repaired, the rubble and Corpses cleaned up after the battle. And as far as he knew Ganondorf was dead.
" Did you have another dream?" Malon asked. " Yeah." He said still rubbing the back of his head. "It was about the Battle 7 years ago." "I see." Malon said not sure how to respond. Link has never been very good at sharing about his past. Over the years she got to know him he opened up a little bit but not much. Most of the time before they met was still a mystery to her.
Link took the empty pocket she had been holding. " Come on let's get back." He said giving her a smile. She nodded and smiled back.
This is a prologue to what I hope is a long-running fanfiction about the events after Majora's Mask. Thank you for reading please stay tuned for chapter 1.
