My teacher said this shit to me when I was being bullied by a boy in my class who would regularly punch me in the face, trip me up, pull my hair until I had fallen to the ground, kick me, spit at me and call me horrible names EVERYDAY in the "playground" and honestly, I remember the words he used even to this day some 30+ years later yet I don't remember every beating he gave me........

When my teacher told me "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me"

I replied "But they do hurt".....

Since you passed away, there's a hole that I cannot repair nor explain and quite frankly I am content with it being their. I don't want to fill it nor repair it, I am learning to be comfortable with it. It's not easy mum, but I know you understand this.
