You're awful for using cats you find as roadkill, whether you 'think' they're a stray or not, it's disrespectful to mutilate their bodies for your own enjoyment. Any of the cats may have been someone's pet and is now hanging on a wall in your house. How would you feel if someone found your pet, skinned it and kept it? You seriously need to take a step back and think about your actions. Animals aren't there for you damn decorations, let them rest in peace.

well, with each cat i have found i spent anywhere from a month to over a year attempting to locate an owner, but have never been able to, so i think its safe to say they were strays! especially considering the unfortunately high local population of feral animals

as far as respect though, everyone has different ideas of what is respectful, and to me it is highly disrespectful to allow an animal that can be salvaged and given a good home to rot away into nothing; animals themselves have no concept of respect either, as it is entirely a human construct. i personally consider myself to be honouring their memory and giving them what they never got to have in life. to me they aren’t decorations- they are individuals just like my living pets

and well, i both plan to and Have skinned my own pets after their passing! as well as some of my bf’s pets. i think you need to take a step back and think about how other people don’t necessarily have to agree with your ideals, just as you don’t with theirs :-)
