BUT

With the Wicked movie coming out, @fidlittlee brought up a rlly good point.

It’s kinda eerie how well Jade in the Candy Epilogues lines up with Nessa (AKA Wicked Witch of the East.)

WARNING FOR SPOILERS: ‼️

I mean, we all know the classic homestuck joke where Jade gets hit crushed and just her red shoes are sticking out.

But with the whole candy epilogues, Jade kinda forces Dave into a loveless marriage. Like- Dave dated her for a little bit while they were teenagers, and he felt like he owed her the relationship.

Jade, being blinded by her feelings for Dave, doesn’t really care HOW he feels about the relationship. Just that he’s agreeing to the relationship.

REMIND YOU OF ANYONE???

Eventually, both Dave and Boq enter a loveless marriage despite having feelings for other people, and in both times they escape said marriage by getting turned into Tin.

While Nessa turned Boq into tin, and Dave chose to go tin, THE END RESULTS ARE THE SAME!!

SO It’s kinda a funny correlation between the Witch of Space and the Wicked Witch of the East
