I'm writing down some lore/character notes for my dark urge boy, Helios, just so I can make decisions in-game that overall will align with his general personality and attitude

-first and foremost he is stupid. He is not intelligent. His sorcery is an inherent urge just like his murder urge, he does not think very hard to cast spells and perform magic, and so he goofs it a lot. (He's a storm sorcerer so this means shocking himself sometimes) (No he won't use equipment to circumvent this)

-secondly he is horny. But also completely fucking rizzless. He accidentally breaks up with Lae'zel before they even bone, he tries sleeping with Karlach because he forgot about the burning hot skin thing. He has a thing for Astarion So Hard (bc I think dark urge x Astarion is rly compelling and I want to see those story beats) but Astarion thinks he is stupid and annoying (true because Helios keeps trying to do good things to offset the disturbing urges he has)

-he dislikes his dream visitor at principal. He also tries killing Kagha but gets scared bc he does not like snakes

- he likes Zevlor and feels bad about Alfira but does think it's tremendously funny that nobody found out (seriously how did no one notice. There was blood everywhere? There was a ritual circle???)

- he sort of likes the goblins because they make him feel smart. This does not keep him from killing them ruthlessly

-he has pretty boy swag that he thinks will get him out of situations easily, to mixed success, because it earned him a hag eyeball

- he thinks gale is a funny funny man but can't understand a lot of the words he says but knows he needs magic stuff so he keeps offering them even when Gale says he's fine. He also can't really tell the difference between "just kind of shiny" and "magic"

Notable of course how in romance scenes Gale only ever seems confident at all when the Weave is involved, and becomes noticeably more insecure and self deprecating whenever something romantic is happening in, sorry I was about to call it "meatspace". The mortal plane or whatever.
