Imma say something controversial but Richter and Annette are %100 responsible for their loved ones death! In episode one it looks like Julia had the upper hand fighting Olrox.

Man was getting his ass beat by her. And resorted into using his Quetzalcoatl form when she set him on fire!

Even in his Quetzalcoatl form I believe that Julia still had the upper hand in the fight because Olrox just made himself more vulnerable in his Feathered Serpent because the bigger the target the more you’re able to evade. He was far more dangerous in his regular form than this because Julia could scurry around in tight places and entrapped Olrox using his large size as an advantage to run off. I don’t think she’s strong enough to beat and kill him but could easily outsmart Olrox! Run away with Richter in a tactical retreat and fight another day leaving Olrox trapped somewhere in a cramped places. And Julia would’ve spent the whole time looking behind her back for Olrox to come and try to kill her.

She was calm and collected during the fight and instantly became a frazzled mommy because Richter tried to “save her” but became a hindrance when he popped out of his hiding place.

Julia: WHY DIDNT YOU GET ON THE FUCKING BOAT RICHIE???

Olrox: Awwwww how ADORABLE!!! 💕💕💕

Olrox was aiming for Julia and went after Richter because he’d be a top tier distraction!

Olrox: fuck you coming through!

Gets her knocked out and her arm pinned to the ground and she was wide open and vulnerable for the kill!

If Richter hadn’t lingered around Julia might’ve been alive!

Just like Richter Annette couldn’t keep still without blowing her position. Who goes into a vampire infested château?

She let her impulsivity get the best of her and it cost her Edouard’s life.

Alerting all the vampires in the château!

Resulting Edouard getting swarmed by the vampires and Night Creatures because he’s the slowest runner in history.

Though than again did Edouard NEEDED to be there? He was without a doubt the weakest among the four. He doesn’t have magical abilities that are useful for combat nor is he skilled enough to fight a lot of vampires! Instantly he got swarmed in and turned into a Night Creature. I hope to see Richter and Annette having on added survivals guilt and self blame in season 2.
