   Akali could only look at the sheriff and bite down on her bottom lip. ‘ I mean it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve done something I shouldn’t. ‘ maybe taunting the officer wasn’t the best of ideas but she just couldn’t help herself. It was just after a show and she was just having some fun with one of the officers that had been hired. Her posture was suggestive in her seat, right hand placed just above her partially exposed chest.  ‘ Can you fault me for wanting to have a little bit of fun on a good night like this? ‘

    A low profile was probably the right way to put it. Akali had wanted to go out without having to deal with a crowd of individuals flooding around her at all times. While she loved her work and enjoyed what she did, she hated being out in public where she could be berated at by the weirdest of people. Hands gripped at the hood to adjust it as she made her way inside the bar. May not have been the best of places to go to however she just wanted a drink. If things went as planned then she’d have nothing to worry about.      Sitting down besides the stranger, her eyes having stayed on the wood of the counter in front of them instead of really looking around. She adjusted her glasses as she was spoken to. It had the popstar become tense if only for a moment --- she was not expecting conversation. It was part of the reason she chose the seat to begin with but she’d play along. ‘ Yeah, it’s really windy out. ‘

   Hoodie down low, body language slightly hunched. Whoever she was, she was clearly trying to retain a low profile. Somewhat strange, but by the same metric – Hey, fair enough. This wasn’t a bar with a spectacular reputation, but it was Thursday, and that meant cheap bibimbap. A clever, thrifty cambion could have dinner now, order another for lunch tomorrow, and with a bit of luck, deal with her other dietary requirements in the process. Which led us, by degrees, to the girl in the hoodie – or rather, led her to the stool beside Riley’s. 

   Hardly an unconscious decision. This spot was chosen to look out at the door, for the just-in-case of hunter stuff wandering in – there were plenty of open seats more conveniently available. Had to at least acknowledge her. “Chilly?”
