Jesus, i’ve switched my location on my dating profile back to Florida cause i’ll be moving back to Florida after being on the west coast for almost 10years, and the fuck is happening to dudes in their thirties in the south, my age group is just accelerating to their 50’s, everyone looks like a middle aged divorced dad, and honestly it was shocking in comparison to the people i was seeing on the west coast, like maybe its just the culture of sun exposure, but the men are not all right. The women do look better and i think again there is at least a skincare culture for women, so they aren’t aging as fast, but damn, i went back home for vacation last month, and people were complimenting my clear skin and i was just like, “it’s the sunscreen??? Spf everyday??” Like the sun spots start to really come out when you hit thirty, and i know my mom and relatives who all lived in Florida, are just covered in sunspots and cancer spots, and i remember being a teenager and thinking nah, I’m gunna wear sunscreen. And i don’t know why everyone in my generation didn’t collectively decide not to just burn to a crisp regularly anymore
Like i feel bad, but I don’t want to date people who look like they’ve already reached retirement age, thats just not the vibe I’m used to from my age group where i live currently. Maybe i will get used to it, but right now it’s jarring. Though i will say there seems to be a huge metal scene and those dudes seem to put more effort into their appearance (like they have some kind of current style and look like they moisturize lol)

Currently hyper fixating on helluva boss and hazbin hotel, i live the character designs and relationship dynamics, there’s so much juicy opportunity for fanfic and other content, the down side is that if you like a villain its impossible to find fic for them that explores the different facets of the character
Hard to navigate in general just because for some reason it seems like on A03 the fandom just tags every character and relationship instead of the ones that are the focus of the story
But i like getting into new content!

I cannot stress enough to new Star Wars fans that despite the Ahsoka show making him sound like an eldritch magic final boss, Grand Admiral Thrawn is literally just some guy. That's it. Canonically the least Force-sensitive guy in the goddamn universe, with the "Force sensitivity of a rock", employees love him, employers hate him, and his only super power is being the most autistic man ever to destroy environments

shoutout to people who lay in bed all day when they get home from work/school, people who can't go to loud or crowded places or concerts, people who change into pajamas because other clothes are uncomfortable, people who can't consistently participate in hobbies, people who have to turn down hanging out with friends, people who have lowered their standards to improve themselves, people who need affirmations, and people who struggle to stay healthy. you deserve so much love and I hope things get better.

Palpatine: If I had a nickel every time my apprentice became obsessed with obi wan kenobi I’d have three nickels - which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened three times.

I love that Palpatine is a die-hard Sith but after ten years of Vader’s obsession with Obi-Wan, even HE’S like “idk maybe the Jedi had a point about letting some shit go”.

Secret trauma unlocked: my sister tells me to stop interrupting after I spent my entire life not saying a word and letting people cut me off, leading to people always saying “she’s so quiet”
And finally, after I cut off a friend who constantly spoke over me and took advantage of me being a door mat, I swore that I would interject myself in conversation and actively participate in conversation and not just sit quietly at gatherings. It’s been 5-6 years now and I’m extremely successful at work and bantering with coworkers, and better at socializing, and people don’t assume I want to be by myself anymore because I’m too quiet.
Now any time we face time with my parents, I’m getting elbowed and pinched for “interrupting” my parents.
I don’t understand it, everyone in my family talks, if I don’t find a moment to interject with a comment here and there, I don’t get to talk. It’s family, no one’s feeling are hurt when I add a relevant comment here and there while someone is talking about something, I’m not changing the subject, or going of on a rambling tangent or telling someone to be quite, I’m just participating in regular conversation, the only time people ever purposefully take turns speaking and wait to be sure someone is finished talking is if they’re in a meeting or a formal setting where time is an issue.
Anyway, I’ve been crying in my bathroom for an hour now, after I felt my lip trembling when my sister immediately told me I needed to stop, and how I talked more than anyone(despite that not being true, my sister was the main focus as always, no one ever even gets to asking me about my work, so the things I say aren’t even substantial or updates about me) so I beat a hasty retreat so I could have a good cry and get all the feelings out
I won’t be changing my behavior, but my reaction to basically being told to be quiet if I can’t stop interrupting, caught me off guard, so I’m gunna work on exploring that on my own
