Notorious TERF hate monger, Cathy Brennan has been “reaching out” to Leelah’s parents and providing support for their bigotry.
Cathy Brennan has personally outed trans youth to their schools and parents putting them in danger (among many other horrific things). Brennan runs this blog where she spews her hateful anti-trans rhetoric freely to anyone who will give her the attention she so craves.
(LINK TWs: extreme transmisogyny, anti-trans violence, ableism, racism, and more…)
Ignorant, hate-filled rhetoric like this helps prop up oppressive people and justify their behaviour in their minds.
Here is her current twitter account. (She has a tendency to create new social media accounts, blogs, etc. when she feels “threatened” by people commenting on her bigotry…. or she gets deleted due to her legit harassment of folks.)

Seriously so important, there is no way this is just a "coincidence"
Cop shootings by race/per million: 1.47 white people vs 31.17 black people. And people really want to believe that the outrage is simply over one murdered black teenager.

Same tbh, gay bars are great and all, but we need to find other ways to cope, reading is another great outlet for many!
I want lgbt book stores, lgbt coffee houses, and lgbt theaters to replace lgbt bars as centers of community, places to meet people, and lgbt rights of passage.

Lady Gaga has revealed that she wrote the song “Swine,” off 2013’s Artpop, as a way to express the rage and demoralization she felt after being sexually assaulted as a teenager. In an interview with Howard Stern on SiriusXM, the singer brought up the rape in the context of her performance of the song at South by Southwest, where British artist Millie Brown vomited colored paint onto Gaga while the singer rode a mechanical bull. “I want this chick to throw up on me in front of the world, so that I can tell them, ‘You know what? You could never, ever degrade me as much as I degrade myself, and look how beautiful it is when I do,’” Gaga said.

It seriously takes so much to say that, I'm proud of her for sharing this

Today is World AIDS Day. And despite advances like PrEP, more health campaigns targeting queer people, and other social and technological developments, LGBTQ communities still struggle with HIV/AIDS every day, from dealing with the disease to fighting the stigma that often comes with it. And young people aren’t out of the woods, either. There’s a lot to do.
