am i the only one that thinks jax isn't directly influencing pomni in ep 6??

like, i don't think he's the sole reason for pomni's behavior. we know from the ep 6 trailer that pomni was revealing her sadistic nature a bit more, her teeth literally turning sharp as she smiled (and that woman looked way too eager to be holding a gun and pew pewing) but ive seen a lot of posts where some fans are like "oh jax is being a bad influence" or "jax is changing pomni" but look at the scenes listed below:

in eps 1-3, she was anxious. i mean, her reason is obvious. she was literally trapped in an overstimulating simulation and just found out that she's stuck there for eternity and can't escape. it irritates me when people frame her as a coward/child simply from those episodes, because she isn't. anyone would be terrified out of their minds if they were in her situation. she had a realistic reaction. ep 4 started really showing off pomni's true personality-- and it's evident that she's an empathetic person. HOWEVER HOWEVER HOWEVER there was another side we saw a glimpse of in ep 5. she sought for excitement in her mundane lifestyle. she literally said so herself:

contrary to typical/safe hobbies, she had a thrill-seeking hobby. willingly going to dark, deteriorating places means she had that twisted curiosity inside her, even before the circus. abandoned buildings are unpredictable. yet, she chose that environment, implying that she is comfortable stepping into risky situations if it excites her. this is a sign of morbid curiosity, aka the kind of person who enjoys that spike of adrenaline and unpredictability. look at what gooseworx said as well.

does this mean she is a sadistic person? no. she just has more layers than people assume from the surface. overall, in my opinion, pomni seemed to have that dormant, thrill seeking mindset from the start. it just wasn't as obvious, because in the real world, her thrill-seeking only came out in small, controlled ways (exploring abandoned buildings) and the situations never pushed her far enough for that edge to show fully. also, most of the eps rn were showing her being anxious, so people might have characterized her as such. now let's look at jax. the epitome of a sadist. pomni definitely disliked jax at first, but after ep 5, she started seeing him in a different light, even chuckling when he was attacking evil jax. she's getting used to the circus, and the people around her. she won't always be that anxious, fear-driven character. she'll start to reveal more of her true personality. and what can jax, someone who thrives in chaos and violence, AND someone who she grew closer to, help with? providing her room to act on impulses she's always had. jeez this was way longer than i wanted TLDR: pomni's thrill seeking side was always there. it just wasnt obvious due to her getting used to her eternal life in a digital sim. and no, i'm not saying that pomni is secretly a vile/chaotic person. but i am saying that jax didn't change her. he just enabled her, acting as that chaotic partner in crime and matching her energy. hehe shoot to your hearts content losers /j
