they won't tell you this in therapy but sometimes the best way to stop catastrophizing/anxiety is to interrupt your spiraling with "girl what the hell are you talking about"

so the first screenshot is trying to look this up on tiktok normally, "donald trump rigged election" and it says that search violates community guidelines.

the second screenshot is looking up the same exact thing, but with a (australian) vpn on. canadian vpn didn't fix it fyi.

THIS is exactly the type of censorship to be looking out for on tiktok. this actually is crazy.

it's okay to be upset that tiktok being banned was a concerning overstep of governmental authority; AND be upset that apparently it was a ploy to get Trump to look like the defender of free speech and the people; AND still be upset at how apparent it became that too many Americans are emotionally dependent on that damn app

If you're incapable of knowing how to "stay informed" on news and what's happening around you without tiktok, then you need to do some self reflection on being so dependent on an app that caters everything to your specific feelings that it renders you incapable of actually looking at real news sources and making your own informed decisions on what is and is not valid or whatever

If you don't have friends or community outside tiktok, then, again, you need to do some self reflection and probably get therapy

The level of dependency on tiktok I'm seeing from people is baffling and it makes me wonder how they cope with having to navigate real life situations

Started working on my very own dark romance book and it's been interesting grappling with dark themes and my own morals. Dark romance is pretty new to me, and I am so used to writing stories with healthy, happy communication and love. It's pretty strange but honestly, it's been kind of fun.
