so the first screenshot is trying to look this up on tiktok normally, "donald trump rigged election" and it says that search violates community guidelines.

the second screenshot is looking up the same exact thing, but with a (australian) vpn on. canadian vpn didn't fix it fyi.

THIS is exactly the type of censorship to be looking out for on tiktok. this actually is crazy.

it's okay to be upset that tiktok being banned was a concerning overstep of governmental authority; AND be upset that apparently it was a ploy to get Trump to look like the defender of free speech and the people; AND still be upset at how apparent it became that too many Americans are emotionally dependent on that damn app

If you're incapable of knowing how to "stay informed" on news and what's happening around you without tiktok, then you need to do some self reflection on being so dependent on an app that caters everything to your specific feelings that it renders you incapable of actually looking at real news sources and making your own informed decisions on what is and is not valid or whatever

If you don't have friends or community outside tiktok, then, again, you need to do some self reflection and probably get therapy

The level of dependency on tiktok I'm seeing from people is baffling and it makes me wonder how they cope with having to navigate real life situations

Started working on my very own dark romance book and it's been interesting grappling with dark themes and my own morals. Dark romance is pretty new to me, and I am so used to writing stories with healthy, happy communication and love. It's pretty strange but honestly, it's been kind of fun.

Calling Elain Archeron, probably the most benevolent character in acotar besides feyre, unkind is the wildest statement. 🤣

She literally spends her days helping the citizens of velaris of her own volition.

They’re so offended that she doesn’t find some guy worthy of her attention when they, themselves, would fall all over themselves for that guy.

The one thing she truly did “wrong” was not helping feyre growing up, and she took responsibility for back in book 2 and has been actively healing her relationship with feyre ever since. Some people would call her talking back to Nesta unkind but most would call that growth. Good for her. She should do more of that with everyone.

Audiobooks count as reading. If you listen to audiobooks over physically reading, it doesn't mean you love books less, are "cheating", etc.

This whole "audiobooks don't count as reading" debate is so inherently ableist, as well. People who are blind or have vision issues aren't reading, then? People with ADHD+ who rely on audiobooks aren't reading?

I saw a take the other day where they said, "if you listen to audiobooks then you just like books but they aren't your hobby". Fucking what?

I will listen to six to ten books a week when using audiobooks. How is that NOT a reading hobby? I have seven bookshelves of physical books, how is this not a hobby?

Besides, you don't have to collect books in order to consider reading a hobby. What the hell is with all the gatekeeping?

Listening to audibooks IS reading. If you disagree, congrats, you have the wrong opinion.
