I think the weird thing is you go through life working so hard towards these goals and the world feels so self centric when you’re young and then you accomplish those things and take a second when you’re done and look around and everyone is just struggling and there’s actually no point to any of it and you accomplishing those stupid things didn’t really mean anything because you’re still not changing the world. You still don’t feel like you’re floating on cloud 9, or like you made it to heaven.
And they say that maybe we’ve already experienced the vastness of after-death. And maybe death will just feel like the vast nothingness and lack of consciousness that preluded this life.
I guess that’s why I’m treating this as my heaven, just in case. So why the hell does it have to be so heartbreaking.
