Lea’s M&H Summer Talk

Today we had a chat with influencer, actor and model Lea Meyer.

What are your plans this summer?

- I have just returned from a very nice cabin trip near Larvik with some of my best friends. There we had a few days filled with good food, wine, laughter, swimming and dancing all night long overlooking the sea. Apart from that, it will be an Oslo summer for me this year, with some work. Will also move at the beginning of August, so have to spend some time packing and organizing as well.

Did you have any summer vacation plans that went in the sink because of the corona?

- Not direct summer holiday plans, but I should have gone to Italy the week the virus broke out in earnest. So it unfortunately had to be canceled. Also had plans for a trip to Copenhagen, but neither Italy nor Copenhagen disappears, so it goes well!

Where do you dream of going when all this is over?

- Italy. And Copenhagen, he he. Will also return to California (was in LA in February) and explore more of the places and nature there.

This is the summer for Norwegian holidays - where in Norway would you most like to travel?

- I was on a road trip with my family a few years ago. Then we drove around large parts of Norway and experienced a lot of good things. We stopped where we wanted and had tents in our luggage. Then I saw a lot; Norway is beautiful! Has not been so much in the North, however, and Lofoten obviously seems like a place you do not want to miss. But it will be another summer.

What place in Norway have you been to that you have to return to?

- Would rather go somewhere I have not been before.

What do you pack with you?

- Clothes adapted to the changing weather, headphones, a book, bikini, face mist, notebook and a pen.

What is your ultimate summer outfit?

- A nice skirt with a t-shirt or shirt, preferably docs but sneakers or sandals if it is too hot. A sweater or my velvet jacket over for cool evenings. And sunglasses!

What can you not live without on vacation?

- Music, good food, friends, the sea and sunglasses.

What are you going to read this summer?

- Recently finished reading On The Road by Jack Kerouac which I really enjoyed. Now I'm working on Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov for the second time, this time in English as it was originally written. It has become more important for me to read books in the original language, if you have the opportunity.

This summer's series viewing in the evening then?

- There will not be much series watching. Preferably watch a good movie or a documentary.

Which is this year's summer song for you?

- This is very difficult. But I think I have to answer Old Man by Neil Young and Going to California by Led Zeppelin. They have walked / walk a lot on repeat.

What is the perfect summer meal for you?

- Shrimp! And food you can grill, preferably with Greek salad or watermelon salad and a glass of wine. And ice! The classic 😉

Gone good or at home best?

- A good balance.

City or country?

- I thrive in the city, but I like to take a week or two in the country in the summer.

Mountains or fjords?

Fjord.

Sun or rain?

- Sol! But really appreciate the rain too. Important with both.

White wine or rosé?

- White wine

Together or alone?

- Together.

Describe a perfect summer day / evening / night.

- To wake up refreshed to nice weather. Cycling, swimming and having a picnic on the beach. So cycle home, take a shower, and have a good dinner with friends. Suddenly dinner becomes a party and the night is spent dancing until the sun rises again.

2020 has so far been a rather shitty year, characterized by crises and generally bad mood. How will you use your platform this summer - and beyond - to influence in a positive direction?

- It comes quite naturally really. I am a pretty positive person, and have a lot of positives in life that I like to share via Instagram. There is a lot of bad that has happened, and it is important to take it seriously and to stay enlightened, really. But I think it's important not to dig too deep into it in everyday life. Although corona is some shit, I think it has been both nice and necessary for many to get a little wake-up call as well. We have discovered how much we value a hug, and how grateful we can be by just being close to each other. And think so nice for the earth to get some breaks from all flights for example. You can get something good out of any situation, even if it is not always so easy to see, especially not when you are in the middle of it.

- When it comes to the BLM movement, I think it is incredibly good that such a large spotlight has been put on something so important, and that many may not have understood the significance of. Everyone has a responsibility to stand up against injustice, even when it affects others than oneself and their loved ones. The BLM movement has enlightened many people and made many aware of a serious situation that you do not even notice directly. Racism and discrimination are still a major problem, even here in Norway, and the fight is far from over yet.

Interesting. I've been on CCs for a while, mostly bc I need motivation to keep up w henrik. I believe he is a great actor and I just want to see him act well at least 1 more time. My opinion on lea has started in neutral, shifted to annoyance and then went back to neutral. The change was due to the pics, and then i moved back to neutral after I saw the way ppl were relentless and irrational in their disdain for her. I think ppl could show a lip more compassion

i dont have much compassion for a rich, white, skinny girl who has 60k followers, a hot and mildly famous boyfriend, a lot of friends and contacts and a mother who can open doors for her. lea isn’t affected by the hate she gets. if she was she would have started blocking people a long time ago. she never even blocked hate accounts that tagged her in nasty posts. lea likes the attention and i don’t blame her. she’s not a child but she’s not smart enough to take advantage of her position.

Thanks for the snippet of the interview. Seems like quite a nice one that would actually capture the essence of their friendship. How do u feel about lea these days?

i don’t love the girl but i don’t hate her. i’ve been following lea since january 2017. i wish lea would get more control of her life and privilege and stop wasting her time. she could be doing so much more and yet her stubbornness is leading her nowhere. even now in LA she could be posting such great photos but instead she gives us lukewarm ugly photos. she needs lessons in thirst traps.

Costume Norge Interview with Pauline

this is just the start from that photo paulines mom posted.. i dont have the mag so i cant translate the rest but if someone wants to send some screenshots they will be translated fast ;)

"Follow me" Pauline said as she led the group on tour at Edvard Munch High School. Pauline was a routine third-grader at school, and Lea was with a friend who wanted to start there. Lea himself would start at Steiner. But she noticed Pauline.

Lea: I think I had already seen her on Instagram and I thought she had a really cool profile. A slightly different one. I liked her style, and then she was very beautiful.

Pauline: It feels so long ago. Really long, actually.

Lea: So much has happened in those few years.

Of course, a lot has happened. The two became friends. And have become IT girls for a new era. Artistic types, who rather dress up coming, wonder and humble, no "attitude problems" or pointy elbows there in the yard.

Lea: I don't quite remember ... When was it that we found the tone as friends, like?

They embark on a four-year long recapitulation of friendship. They travel for a long time in the same circles. had several groups of friends overlapping each other. Leah reminisced about the years she lived in Son, when she really couldn't find her place and everyone was playing football.

Lea: I hate football, so I just have to say that. Thank god for social media. I became acquainted with, among others, Elise By Olsen through social media when we were 12-13 years old. We soon became good friends and eventually started the Recens Paper magazine together. Then I traveled to Oslo very often, and my circle of friends there grew more and more. I made good friends regardless of age, it was the common interests that mattered. That's something I'm very grateful for
