QUINN:
Upon being beckoned into the room, Quinn eyed the musical instrument the man was holding skeptically. Her brows shot upward at how skittish he was acting - 'composed' wasn't the word she would use to describe how Puck normally behaved, but she hadn't expected to see him nervous, of all things. His unpredictability led her to refrain from making assumptions regarding what he was going to do with the guitar that was perched on his lap. The conclusion she came to was that he was going to play something for her, as one can't do much else with an instrument.
Puck's occasional attempts at romancing her over the past few weeks had been rebuffed, mostly due to her revelation that he probably wouldn't be as invested in his relationship with her if not for their unborn child, the fate of whom Quinn was still unsure of. She couldn't see herself as a motherly figure; although she knew of muggles who had children while students and of witches who married their sweethearts immediately upon turning of-age, resigning herself to that sort of life didn't feel right. Despite not being ambitous to the likes of an average student in the Slytherin house, Quinn still had unfulfilled hopes and dreams for herself that raising this child as her own would make her sacrifice.
What the catastrophic end to her relationship with Finn had taught her was that she was partial to making terrible decisions, which also played a part into why she was so reluctant to actually pursue something romantic with the man she was living with. She was stressed enough without having to worry about keeping up with a boyfriend, especially taking into account the scores she had received on her pre-N.E.W.T. test on Arithmancy. If she planned on amounting to anything in the future, she couldn't let boys cloud her judgment. That being said, she couldn't gloss over the fact that she still was nearly seven months pregnant and would eventually have to make a decision concerning the baby in her womb.
It wasn't a secret that ever since she'd been faced with the harsh reality of being disowned by her parents, she had been leaning toward giving the child up. She had her whole life ahead of her to settle down, get married and have children when she was at a comfortable point in her life. Although she occasionally doubted how truthful Puck was with her, she couldn't deny the fact that he seemed to be be prepared to own up to the responsibilities that came along with being a father - that was something that would make her decision all the more difficult.
"I'm listening." She remarked as she closed the door behind her, making her way over to the bed that Puck was sitting on. Her stomach was unceremoniously jutting out even as she sat down on the burgundy-coloured duvet until she crossed her arms over her chest expectantly. She didn't quite know why he was doing this, but she had a feeling that she would find out in a few moments.

I doubt I'd be able to stop you from making yourself heard.
It won't make a difference. You know that, right?

If you say so.
I thought we went over this already, Puck.

So you keep telling me.
That's disputable. Besides, what you really want might be acquirable to some but not to others.

We Just Can't Find The Sound → Quick
TAGGING → Noah Puckerman & Quinn Fabray
SETTING → The Puckerman Household
TIME-FRAME → August 31st; 2022
NOTES → Puck and Quinn have a much needed conversation on the last day of their summer holiday.
Quinn sighed as she packed the last of her clothes into her suitcase, glancing around the room to make sure that she hadn't left anything behind before sitting down on her bed. It was strange to refer to the bed that Mrs. Puckerman had allowed her to sleep on as her own bed. Living with Puck had been an interesting experience, to say the least. There were high moments and low moments but something about the environment - Mrs. Puckerman's barked orders at her children whenever they misbehaved, Sarah's shrill tone of voice whenever something didn't go her way, Puck's tendency to spend hours on that odd box contraption in his room - strangely felt like home, in a way. Was it a place that she wanted to raise a child in? She wasn't sure. But it was all that she had at the moment and for his mother's hospitality, Quinn was very grateful.
She couldn't believe that she had come this far along in her pregnancy - it felt like she had discovered it somewhat recently, but here she was; seven months pregnant, living with her 'baby daddy' in his somewhat homely house and preparing for her last year at Hogwarts before she had to delve into the 'real world'. Ever since she had received her report card a few weeks earlier, she had been nervous. Studying for the entirety of the school year (as well as keeping track of all of her studying methods and classroom notes in the chest in her dormitory) had paid up for the most part, as she'd received Outstandings on most of her courses. Other than Arithmancy. The 'Acceptable' grade that stained her paper nearly sent her into a full-fledged panic attack. It was frightening.
It really made her reevaluate her life choices and where she was headed. Could she take care of the child growing inside of her? Could she provide her baby with everything that she deserved to have? Quinn wasn't a martyr by any means - she tried her best to be a 'good' Christian as she'd been raised, but she couldn't help but be selfish sometimes. Selfishness and fright had been what had motivated Quinn to lie to Finn about being the father of her child, but no person could truthfully state that they'd never been self-centered on some occasions, some more than others. It was exactly that selfishness that led Quinn to wondering how her life would be without a child in comparison to how it would be if she decided to keep her baby. She wasn't sure what to do.
With that, she shook her head of her anxiety-ridden thoughts and focused on packing everything for her trip tomorrow on the Hogwarts Express. Quinn pursed her lips as she reached for the stuffed lamb that had been laying on Sarah's bed before hesitating. The younger girl probably had more use for it than Quinn did. She left it there. After scrutinizing the room for a few more seconds, she sighed and decided to see how Puck was faring with his day, as she sincerely doubted that he would pack his things until the morning that they left. Once she knocked at his closed door and heard her housemate's voice beckon her into his room, Quinn twisted at the wooded doorknob on his somewhat worn door and took a step forwards as she pushed it open. "Hey, Puck?"

That's actually pretty sweet of you, Puck. Surprisingly so.
Of course you do. How could I ever have thought otherwise?

Is that a bad thing?
I think we can arrange for that to happen. I think I'm going to get a few scoops of lemon and vanilla. What about you?

At least I've left your modesty unscathed. Probably not, but I plan on getting back into shape over the winter break.

Francine Longbottom told me that she overheard a few people talking in the Leaky Cauldron about how a few Quidditch scouts might come to see some of our games in November and March.
What flavour do you think she'd like the most?
