Fun fact! Up until season 6, I was genuinely convinced Tony was canonically bisexual and that it would be revealed at some point in the show.
Now this didn’t happen because I was so delusional or anything (although I lowkey was), no, I had actually just completely misremembered a video essay I had seen. It wasn’t generally about Sopranos, but it had a little section about Vito’s queerness and how it was handled on the show. I didn’t even know what The Sopranos was back then and I only remembered even seeing the video in the first place, when I started watching the show like a year later. And with the muddiness of memory and all, I just mixed up Vito and Tony because they’re both large guys with dark hair.
So I started S1E1, fully believing Tony was a bisexual man who would have a whole self-discovery arc at some point in the show. You can’t imagine the moment of realisation when Vito’s arc started in season 6.
I like complicated queer stories like the sopranos (i pretend tony is gay while i watch)
