The Magi System, often referred to as just the Magi, is a set of three supercomputers that work in tandem to control, manage and automate various important systems within NERV HQ. Each Magi supercomputer has a distinct personality matrix built into them; this often leads to each Magi suggesting a different solution for the same problem. If any of the solutions the Magi provide conflict with one another, the type of action taken by NERV to resolve this conflict differs on a case-by-case basis. Sometimes, all possible solutions are provided, and the final decision is left to human discretion. Other times, like in the case of major decisions such as self-destruction, a consensus among all three Magi must be reached in order to take action.
