hc + career 

arden had a backup plan in career choice just in case his efforts were in vain. he took extra courses of biology, physics, and chemistry for this reason. if he couldn’t fulfill his dream to be an entomologist, he aimed to be a trauma surgeon / er doctor. if he hadn’t been accepted into his chosen career path, he���d currently be traveling a completely different road — he might not have left australia to move to america, he might not have fallen into such a mental rut.

sometimes he really questions if he made the right choice. he followed his dreams, but did they really put him on the correct path? he’s not sure.
