hello its angela, the friendly neighborhood virgo, back at it again with a canon ive wanted to play for a while: frank longbottom. also a fantastic excuse to get around to using jordan fisher. his profile can be found here and a tldr of his backstory is under the cut! if you want to plot with him ill throw him at you in a dm if you give this a heart.

is that FRANK LONGBOTTOM i just saw in the courtyard? i hear they’re a HUFFLEPUFF, returning for their SEVENTH school year, but something more juicy is them being PASSIONATE & HARD-WORKING as well as AVOIDANT & AWKWARD. if you want some more details on them, i guess i could tell you that they’re PUREBLOOD, and from the rumors i heard, they’re currently allying with THE NEUTRALS. personally, i think they remind of: novelty knit hats, neatly written out fact sheets about magical creatures, a helping hand to anyone who needs it, slight stutter when nervous, the softest of hugs. but that might be just me.

frank is the only child to caesar and augusta longbottom and boy does he feel it. caesar expects a lot of him, while augusta tends to baby him. even well into his adult life, they are constantly trying to contact the professors on how he is doing and doing wellness checks to see if he is washing behind his ears or not.

both parents were usually at odds with how to raise him. caesar wanted him to be like other boys and get into quidditch, but augusta was worried that her little peach would get bruised. luckily for her, frank never cared for sports much. and luckily for his dad, as a teen he got into general exercise to keep his body healthy. hes still usually at odds with his dad for having a “more feminine approach to life” which he finds dumb. just because he likes knitting and fluffy plushies doesn’t make him any less of a man.

frank embraces all things that are cute and is often seen knitting mittens, socks, novelty hats and plushes.

hes still always been built kind of small and still definitely isnt that big.

and he definitely has the gentle soul his mother was hoping for. as early as he could remember, he was bringing home animals (whether his parents wanted them or not) to nurse them back to health.

catch him marching around with signs that call for sentient magical creature rights. but its important to also listen to said creatures so you advocate for them instead of speaking for them!

he can and will hug you, with consent of course he always asks before he goes in for one. very physically affectionate with all of his friends. arm draped over the shoulders when talking, lots of hugs.

just because hes gentle and soft does not mean hes one to mess around with, especially his friends. if he catches anyone bullying someone whos a friend of his, he will just sock them.

could be in the dueling club if he wanted to since hes good at defensive spells, but has chosen not to and go with the non-violent approach. unless someone his bullying his friend, all bets are off on the non-violent thing.

longbottoms are a line of hufflepuffs, so there was no shock that their boy ended up there. hes kinda awkward, kinda sheltered, a little spoiled, but he has a good heart.

hes also the ultimate libra.
