#autocomplete poetry#poetry#personally i actually unironically love this one#the way it made a rhyme and then immediately broke it? ART.#it's so plaintive#it's like watching a romance die in four lines#you start out with hackneyed but real feelings#and then reality sets in#i don't think the poet is invited to the pub#of course that IS a perhaps unnecessarily bleak reading#maybe it's about two people getting bored of the performance of romance#and deciding to actually enjoy hanging out instead?#anyway this is a fun outcome it's four lines and i could legit discuss it for an hour#like i intentionally didn't add punctuation because i like how it's not clear if it should end in ? or .#is this a question interrupting the poem#or is it a weary statement of what violets are now?
