One of my favourite bits of educational trivia is that if you've had a sex ed class anywhere in North American in the last 25 years, and they did that demonstration thing where they put a condom on a wooden penis, that wooden penis is probably made in Canada – not because Canada has a well established wooden penis industry as such, but because there was a government-funded sex ed initiative about 25 hears back where somebody misplaced a decimal point and ordered like a hundred times more wooden penises than the program really needed, and they've been trying to get rid of them ever since. Consequently, the greater part of sex ed condom demonstration models in North America over the past quarter century have been drawn from this one specific batch of surplus government-issue Canadian penises.

V's fashion adventure has come to an end, for a couple reasons.

I decided I wanted to try the nethacker route which involved starting over for Reasons. I didn't want to start over the fashion adventure. So.

Spidersmans 2 released and now I'm playing Spidersmans 2

They removed most but not all stats from items; I did this on a previous playthrough and went with whatever the Best item was, which produced some weird outfits but didn't involve me making Choices. Here, though, there is an obvious Best Choice in many items (wear the motorcycle helmet that gives you +6 melee damage resist vs the everything else that gives you nothing) and ... no particular reason to choose anything else. So if I followed that, then V would have worn basically the same thing most of the time, only changing pants on occasion.

This also means that the outfits were more *curated* rather than emergent. "This is the best outfit available (according to game mechanics)" is different from "this is the funniest look available with the stuff V found since I last checked."

This was more fun when playing with a male V because a man wearing a skirt and a tube top is interesting/subversive and a woman wearing that is just ... a woman wearing clothes. A woman wearing a suit is mildly transgressive, but not to the same degree as a man in a dress. I'm not saying it *should* be that way, only that it is. Comedy is in dissonance, and there's not as much available.

In my headcanon, V resigned from saving the world and got a job at a high-end fashion consultant until Johnny took over her body and died again re-blowing up Arasoka towers.

Now V is trying to win over a bartender/murder racer, and apparently the outfit for that is. ..

Honestly, to me, the boots and gas mask might send the wrong message, but I'm not going to second guess V's choices.

V met with one of those friends of hers in order to plan overthrowing the place that killed the friend's ex, partnering up with a different ex. Obviously a complicated moment with a lot of feelings.
