Edgey-poo~!
The prosecutor jolted, freezing where he stood. He felt every part of his soul groan in exasperation. Wonderful.
“Oldbag…” He felt his face scrunch up, mostly out of disgust. “I pray this isn’t anything frivolous like all the other times you have called out to me.”
He did NOT want to be here.

His mouth gently curls into a smirk, and he begins to laugh. It was but a low chuckle, enough to make anyone blink in confusion.
“Of course he did. He knows me better than anyone else.”
He gets up, taking the box over to his shelves below his window. In a matter of seconds, he had it placed perfectly.
“There. A wonderful little spot.” He turns to Athena, folding up the box. “I will admit, this isn’t what I expected at all when it came to deliveries, but I don’t mind this much. I’ve always been a fan of anything samurais.
“Long before you joined his company, Wright and I faced off against a case involving Mr. Powers himself. I’m sure he’s told you ALL about it.”
farewell-prosecution‌:
He squints, glancing between Athena and said box. Wright was notorious for all sorts of odd pranks and tricks. But does pull through with cases, albeit with an annoying twist.
“Very well,” he sighs, pulling his glasses of his face. “Let’s see what he sent.”
Reaching for the box, he pulls it closer and examines it. Athena was right, it was rather heavy. He opens the box.
Nosey Nelly that Athena is, and also maybe a little mad Wright made her come all this way without telling her why she peeks over the side.
Inside the box was a steel samurai statuette, silver placard proclaiming it to be limited edition, and it was even signed by Will Powers!
Tumblr media
“What the heck?!”
All this way for… that? A statuette of a kid’s show?? And one that probably cost more than what she made in a year!

-You mad lad.

“Hopefully something that we both have enough time to talk about.” He watches the man carefully, glancing around the room. Perhaps a later date he’ll use this for his logic game.
“Please, do not be ashamed. I get like this with my cases.” A strained smile, out of understanding.
“I’d like to get to know you, if it’s not trouble. My own little “mystery” is far different from the ones most come to you about.” Miles shoved a hand into his pocket. “If I may be so blunt, I’d say it’s not even a case at all, rather something of pure curiosity.”

Miles huffs as he straightens his jacket. He needed to be presentable for this, despite his slight annoyance of the situation.
Alfendi Layton, son of the famous Archeologist professor, Hershel Layton.
Miles had seen his face all over the news, as many came to him for solving the many mysteries of the world. In each picture, he would smile. And yet, in his eyes, Miles noticed something more… Negative.
He opened his phone, reassuring himself that the information he got was correct. He had gotten into contact with him, hoping to soothe his curiosity, and to his surprise, it worked. With a nod, it was stuffed into his coat and readied his posture.
Knock! Knock! Knock! Upon the office door he silently begged to the powers that be that this was the man who’s face is… Frightfully everywhere.

“Are you Alfendi?” He asked, straightforward. “Miles Edgeworth. We spoke over the phone. I asked if I could meet you in person. There are some things I would like to discuss with you.”
If there was a word to describe exactly Miles was feeling that very moment, he’d say it. The very man that piqued his interest might possibly stand before.
Oh, the embarrass that threatened to eat him if he learns he was wrong about this man.
Only for a moment did it occur to him how tired the person before him was.

The prosecutor glances up at Athena, a brow raised. Eyes flicker between the item and the young defense attorney.
“Wright sent this?” He repeated. “Why?”
Leaning back in his seat, he closed the file he was reading before she came in.
Tumblr media
“Like I said, I don’t know what it is. He just told me to bring it to you, so I did.” She pushes it a little closer.
“The box is pretty heavy though? Feels like a statue, honestly.”

A scoff. Case files lay about him. No progress. He hoped maybe his trip would help give him answers as he prepares for the trial. How tedious. He was ready for a break.

"A Dead body of a girl has been found at Ishikari river. The Founder of the body is a girl named layla who was walking with Yu narukami who called the police, and no suspects are found. The detective for the investigation in this case is Nenryō Shōbōsha. More news at 8:00 AM." news lady.
His lights were dimmed, the room only visible by the light of his television. His jacket over the arm of his couch, he himself on said furniture. Eyes closed and hand over his mouth, almost in a manner of thinking. He huffs softly. That poor girl.
A quick glance at his phone, almost expectantly. Maybe he would get it, maybe he wouldn’t. He didn’t know. He was too tired to really make sense of it all. He sprawled himself over his couch, in a manner most undignified. He cared not. No one was around to see.
“... I could really go for a cup of tea.”

-I want to take a moment and sincerely apologize about what I said in my last post. I was acting childish and let my frustration get to me. I did not mean to sound dismissive.
-I do hope that I can find forgiveness in this poor choice.

-I do hope everyone else has fun with whatever is going on. Diamond loves you.

LOOK OUT! WATER BALLOON!
The sudden warning caught him off guard, his reaction time a second too late. A loud pop followed by a splash, and Miles stood confused, wet and fuming.
“Alright, fess up! Who was it?!” He yelled, wringing out his soaked suit jacket. Oh boy...
