thinking about how in the event “and now i wear this ribbon”, when mizuki was still in middle school pre-transition, she was undecided on whether or not to join niigo, for the same reasons as she was running away. thinking “is it okay for me to be with them” when she feels like because of her being trans, she just causes issues for others – she feel like they’ll either walk on eggshells around her or end up as collateral damage of the transphobia directed at her. her fears of being a bother shines in this event; the only reason ena found her was because despite her mental state, mizuki dragged herself out of her house and tried to go attend her supplementary classes, so as not to worry her parents, even though the thought of going to school was making her so, so sick.
