I just love this moment for how revealing (at least to me) the body language is in setting up their dynamic for the rest of the season. If you look at Dean’s shoulder that is closest to us, you can see that it’s ever so slightly leaning closer to Amara. It’s a protective stance, he is almost moving to shield her against our view. But you can see from his facial expression that he is not sure why he is feeling this way towards her, he examines her face closely trying to make sense of both himself and of her. And they’re moving closer together because such is the strength of the connection they share but that which Dean does not yet understand.

And Amara, while drawn closer to him, lifts her chin slightly. Whilst in some contexts this can have sexual/romantic undertones, I do not believe this to be the case here. Only moments ago Dean threatened her with a knife; by tilting slightly in this way, she is revealing she does not fear him. A defensive stance is one in which the head is tilted forward, a non-conscious action to protect the vulnerable neck area. She does the opposite, and by doing so reveals to us that she is not threatened but rather feels completely at ease with him.
