I’m with those who think that Metatron’s offer was made solely with the intention of separating Aziraphale from Crowley, so they don’t screw another Apocalypse. He knew Crowley wouldn’t accept it, he heartly dislikes him (”Always did want to go his own way, always asking damn fool questions too”), the look he gave him when he left the bookshop with that tense music behind said it all.

What worries me is Aziraphale's expression changing during the elevator ride, what the hell?? 

I REALLY hope we won’t have to wait another 4 years for the next season :::fingers crossed:::, not like we did with Sherlock with 3 years between seasons :::sobs:::
