The hand me downs thing

Plese tell me if my brain just broke or if this dosen't make any sense.

It is well established thah Ron ( and most of the weasly children) wear hand me downs, but i just did a bit of math and for Ron at least it should't be that bad.

From what we know the age gaps in weasly children are as folows:

Bill-Charlie 2 Years

Charlie-Percy 4 years

Percy- The twins 2 years

The twins- Ron 2 years

and ( all though not relavant ) Ron-Ginny 1 year

I will take some crative liberty and say that Molly buyes robes every 2 years. While it isn't cannon it's not that far of a stretch and i think it Makes sennse. For Bill, Charlie and Percy it's pretty straight - Charlie get's Bills and with a two year wait Percy gets Chariles. This is all asumeing that they never tore or stained their uniforms.The problem comes when the twins enter the picture. Logically the Weasleys would have to buy an aditicional set of robes because suprise, suprise there's two of 'em now. It's my hc that Fred and George just shere everything, so like Fred get's the new tie and old scarf and George get's the reverse, because it just wouldn't be fair for one twin to have all mew robes and the other to have old ones. With all that in mind when Rons time for Hogwarts comes it would just be natural for him to just pick the newer set out of the two left to him.

In conclusion- Ron shouldn't complain as much as he does. Sure 'technically' there're stil hand me down but being the second owner and the 5th is a big difrence. Ginny obviusly get's all new robes and for books I think the profesors just let Gerge and Fred shere- not only twins but also in the same house and by extention having class at the same time.

I want to try to dip my toes in the fanfiction world and i think a good start to that will be hc of the requested charecter.
