So I read that post about how horrific OCD would be in a world where magical thinking is real, and I'm just imagining Siffrin explaining what Wish Craft is to his therapist and the therapist has to be like "Give me a minute to think about this" and Siffrin is like "Oh boy, I'm either winning or losing therapy, this is a normal thing to think and possible to achieve"

siffrin genuinely has their therapist's work cut out for them because not only do they have to work through the massive amounts of PTSD siffrin got in the loops but they need to figure out the difference between wish craft, a craft that nobody knew existed for real (as far as they could remember anyway) until Right Now, and magical thinking via ocd. good luck to them truly

I think it'd be hilarious if Siffrin's mom was a former delinquent and kept that way of speaking even around her kid. So when Sif starts to remember the language and how to speak it everyone else thinks its lovely until they meet another islander and they think Siffrin is trying to fight them based on their tones and words and gets scared. But the second they clarify why they speak like that they're like "THE SCARY STARTRACKER???"

Siffrin: Sorry! I left the island when I was young so I don't remember much of it, only what my mom taught me
