Was away for a while but now I'm back. I love everything geeky and hannibal is my new found love, but I haven't forgotten my other fandoms! I love talking to new people so don't be afraid to leave me a message about anything :) Quick warning- I may reblog the occasional porn, be it johnlock or other. Please don't be scared off by this, it's like normal drawings but sexier. boothimusholmes>fallingforanasgardian

*SNIFF SNIFF* WHATS THAT SMELL? OH, ITS THE SMELL OF SERIOUS BULLSHIT
im not sure if this has been adressed already, and sorry if it has!! but as someone who has lived in the UK all my life i can confirm that this post is 100% BULLSHIT
i respect that the original poster may not have been aware that this was incorrect, but i am very much concerned for the amount of people that have spread this post around and have actually believed it, and that havent even taken the time out to research and find out if this crap is true or not. which it isnt.
firstly, we dont even use + or - grades, the only exception is an A* grade. our grades range from A*/A to G, and below that is a U.Ā
secondly, our grading system ranges a lot, however its actually usually along the lines of -
90% - A*
80% - A
70% - B
etc etc
and you cant even really say there is a uk grading system, because of how much it varies from exam to exam, subject to subject, exam board to exam board!!
thirdly, this post angers and insults me as it implies that in the uk we just get to cruise through our education and bullshit our way into success, which is not true. this post implies that we in the uk dont need to work hard to get decent grades, but we do, we have to work hard to get good qualifications,Ā just as much as any other student on this planet will have to.
so please signal boost thisĀ if you can because i dont want anymore people to be deceived into thinking that this is correct information when it is not, it is bullshit
thank you and have a lovely day!!

āSo Steven wanted to show Captain Nichollsā death without you seeing him die, you donāt see him get shot. But he said, āTom, this is the only piece of slow-motion in the film, because actually I donāt think slow-motion is very effective as a dramatic tool ā sometimes it hits but you have to use it sparingly. Itās going to be completely silent and I want to see you see the guns and then Iām going to cut back to the guns and then Iām going to cut back to Joey and youāre not going to be there. And the cameraās going to move across your face but I donāt want you to do shock or surprise or fear or terror. How old are you?ā
And I said, āIām 29.ā He said, āOkay, so at the top of the shot, give me your War Face, the face that youāve been doing all day, youāre winning, youāre triumphant, youāre a noble officer and itās all going well. And then Iām going to say āGunsā and when you hear me say āGunsā, the camera will zoom in and I want you to de-age yourself by twenty years, so youāre 29 and then youāre nine. I just want to strip away the man and see the boy. Can I leave that with you?ā And I thought that was one of the most heartbreaking pieces of direction Iād ever received ā it was just so emotionally acute. In the middle of this great, grand, epic action sequence, with 120 horses going 40 miles an hour, he had the space, in his filmmaking head and in his heart for something very intimate and I thought it was amazingly impressive.ā
