Pedophiles don’t deserve to feel safe. You know who deserves to feel safe? Children. And children can’t feel safe in a world where pedophilia is accepted, normalized and seen as something positive.

When I was 5 years old, I went on a big family camping trip. Like 2 weeks in the sand dunes (Arizona) camping trip. My cousin (6) decided it would be fun to take a walk with me through the bushes near our campsite and tell me a ghost story: Bloody Mary.
Well, she started telling me the version of how she was a young widow. She found a lovely man and married him. She had two children with him, a boy and then a girl. On their anniversary, she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her with a married woman. She gets in a blind rage and kills her kids in the bathtub.
Hours after her rage passes, she buries the kids under the porch then kills herself in the same tub, slitting her neck and wrists. On the mirror written in her blood is: Mary.
As she is getting to the part about her killing herself, I notice a figure in white walking through the bushes ahead of us (there was a split further ahead and I notice someone walking along the split. It was brush in Arizona, easily see someone walking through it).
My cousin gets to the part where you can summon Bloody Mary by saying her name three times in a mirror.
The figure steps out onto the path and looks dead at us. White wedding dress. Veil over her face. Blood stains on her veil, dress and skin. Axe in hand. Slit wrists and blood coming from under the veil. She starts walking towards us.
At this point, my cousin is sideways, looking at me, unaware of what I see. She starts chanting:
Bloody Mary
Bloody Mary
I stop her by pointing at the figure, then finish the calling.
Bloody Mary
Next thing I know, Bloody Mary is lifting her veil up and my cousin is dragging me along behind her, running. "Dont look at her face, dont look in her eyes, just run!"
We ran back to camp and stayed in our tent for maybe 3 hours after that, playing cards trying not to think about it.
Something I'll never tell her, I saw Bloody Mary's eyes when she lifted the veil. She was crying blood.

The Soul Nebula in Infrared from Herschel : Stars are forming in the Soul of the Queen of Aethopia. More specifically, a large star forming region called the Soul Nebula can be found in the direction of the constellation Cassiopeia, who Greek mythology credits as the vain wife of a King who long ago ruled lands surrounding the upper Nile river. The Soul Nebula houses several open clusters of stars, a large radio source known as W5, and huge evacuated bubbles formed by the winds of young massive stars. Located about 6,500 light years away, the Soul Nebula spans about 100 light years and is usually imaged next to its celestial neighbor the Heart Nebula (IC 1805). The featured image, impressively detailed, was taken last month in several bands of infrared light by the orbiting Herschel Space Observatory. via NASA

Alien: You shouldn’t eat that.
Human: What?
Alien: That thing. Don’t you know it’s extremely acidic? Enough to cause eventual deterioration of your flesh?
Human: ….it’s a fucking pineapple.

Appearing like trenches dragged into the earth, sunken lanes, also called hollow-ways or holloways, are centuries-old thoroughfares worn down by the traffic of time. They’re one of the few examples of human-made infrastructure still serving its original purpose, although many who walk through holloways don’t realize they’re retracing ancient steps.
