she can’t remember the last time she was in town. it’s been a couple of years since she left their home and not looked back. freya’s been busy since then, traveling around the world and living a life she couldn’t imagine. the thought’s always lingering in the back of her mind of how things would be different if she hadn’t left. maybe they’d be married. maybe they’d have kids by now. or maybe they wouldn’t have lasted in the first place. she didn’t want any of that then; the idea of marriage and a family was too much. occasionally, though, she finds herself wondering what would be different if she hadn’t left. perhaps it’s the reason she knocks on the door of the home they used to share years ago. they couldn’t have moved, could they? it isn’t until the door swings open that freya realizes she’s been holding her breath this entire time. “ uh — hi. ” / @fallcnhcrts​. based.

Natalia’s plan for the night includes watching some comedy movies then heading to bed. Of course, it was still a bit early for bed especially since she just was done eating dinner. Yet, it was dinner for one like every other night. Unless she decided to be in the company of another but always at their residence. It’s been years since she has last seen Freya but sometimes, she catches herself thinking of her home still being their home. But no, she learned years ago that everything that happened between them would stay in the past. Despite the fact that she used to believe that one day she would come back. A girl could dream, right? Yet, if it wasn't for her friend’s giving her a wakeup call, she would still be having that stupid dream. At 8 o'clock at night, the brunette stood in her kitchen, washing dishes as she whistles to herself. She stops, at hearing a knock at the front door. Furrowing her brows, she places her dish on the dish rack before drying her hands. She strolls over to her front door, looking through the peephole. Freya. She quickly steps away from the door in shock. Why would she be here now? Why did she even come to “their” home of all places? God, so many questions went through her head. Yet, they would never be answered if she doesn’t open the front door. She places her hand on the doorknob, pulling the door open slowly. Now, that she in front of her, it didn’t seem real at all. “Um...hey.” She replied softly before quickly adding, “What are you doing here?”

ask matzvita zabala what her favourite season was, and she’d be incapable of giving you a straight answer. fact of the matter was, each came with it’s own perks and the young woman had never seen the need to pick and choose which she enjoyed the most, when it was inevitable she’d get to experience them all as the year passed. spring bought a fresh start, baby animals and as many easter eggs as she was capable of eating. summer bought sunshine, vintage swimming costumes and crowded beaches. and as autumn took claim of her surroundings; it was rich colours, fierce costumes and cheap candy that she found herself captivated by. it’s why, as halloween night draws closer, she finds herself begging for her friend to come along with her to the supermarket, to buy as much candy as they’re capable of getting into her car, and perhaps a decent costume or two that she can upgrade for the night in question. “come on,” she drawls, offering up her signature pout and best puppy dog eyes. “please? it’ll be fun. you know it will be. you’re not really going to make me go shopping by myself, are you?” / @fallcnhcrts

Out of all the holidays, for her college roommate to be passionate about, it had to be Halloween. God, Hazel despise Halloween for a multiple of reasons. One, she hated anything to do with scary themes like horror movies, fake blood, gore, etc. Two, she absolutely believes in superstitions surrounding Halloween especially involving black cats. Lastly, her biggest reasons include how the last time she really celebrates Halloween was with her dear parents. Actually, it was about a year before she found out about the one secret that tore up her family. Ever since she rather forget anything to do with Halloween. That was until one of her dearest best friends decided to rope her into one of her many plans. She crosses her arms over her chest, eyeing Matzvita as she thought over her request. “Come on, don’t you dare give me those eyes!” She exclaimed in a warning tone as she uncrosses her arms. If she was being honest, she knew she would have fun with her. Plus, she might even find a decent costume, if she was planning on needing one. “Fine.” She sighed to herself, looking over at her friend. “If I go, you better not eat all the candy and no forever and a day to find a costume, alright?”

Khalil sat back in the chair beside his fiancee, river in the office room. At the moment, the pair were meeting with a wedding planner, hopefully, to finalize everything before their wedding in the next two months. He figured they would've finalized two weeks in advance but according to their bubbly planner, they were ahead than her usual clients. He glances over at the river, running his fingers through his hair. “Alright, time to go over the most important aspect of our wedding...or should I say weddings?” He spoke softly with a slight grin on his face. Yet, he was more anxious about their big wedding than their small wedding. Not that he didn’t mind getting to see his beautiful fiancee in a wedding gown twice. It was more so that he wasn't used to big crowds. Tapping his leg nervously on the hardwood floor, he chuckles softly. “Flowers. Everyone will be coming to see what amazing flowers will be displayed.”

ETHAN AND OLIVIA

Soulmates wasn’t really a concept she understood fully well. The last thing she would want is for someone to totally understand the things she has been through because there was no way anyone could unless they had went through it themselves and she would never wished that on anyone. Never. Despite that, she didn’t appreciate being lied to by someone so close to her. “How long… how long have you know this?” She asked, hesitating as she tried to find her own way to come to terms with this whole situation. What does being a soulmate even mean? Were they suppose to be romantically involved? Or close platonic friends? What does this even mean going forward? She had so many questions and the weight of being someone’s soulmate wasn’t helping to make this any clearer for her. Olivia’s head was smog up and was trying her best to navigate herself out of it. Taking in a deep breathe, she looked straight into his eyes; Her glimmering emerald hues reflecting her worries and concerns. “W… What does this even mean? Soulmates? Am I suppose to… Marry you or something?” She said, shrugging her shoulders in exasperation as she took steps away from the male. Hand coming to run through her wavy brown locks that were beyond disheveled at this point. 

Ethan should've known that his small white lie would blow up in his face one day. Yet, he was hopeful that the truth would be coming from him instead of his grandmother. After this conversation, he is going to have a stern talk with his grandmother. Even though he already figured that conversation would be one-sided at best. He quickly shook those thoughts from his head to focus on the situation between him and Olivia. He glances away from him for a second, chewing on his bottom lip. “About a...few months or so?” He replied sheepishly, as he plays with his hands in front of him. He wanted to just hug her long enough for her to not be upset with him. But he knew that was not the way for him to get out of this. While looking into her eyes at the moment, he knew she had so many questions for him. “What? No! Of course not, you are my best friend, Liv.” He took a deep breath before adding, “It just means that we have a deeper connection than most that were supposed to be romantic ...but…” His voice trails off as he ponders on how to explain their connection to each other. “But...platonic is something that we both choose so no marriage on the cards for us.” Despite their soulmate connection, he wasn’t sure if it was right to feel anything but platonic feelings for her. Yet, every once in a while, it wouldn’t take a genius to catch him looking at her in a different light at times. He takes a step forward to her before standing in place. “I really am sorry, Olivia.”

Erik frowned upon what she said; Eyes blinking repeatedly as he licked his lower lips, fearing what she had just said and the consequences that it might bring for the two of them. They were over and when she says things like this it made it hard for him to hold himself back from the line he had drawn between the two of them. “You can’t just say things like that…” He mumbled, obviously conflicted by what she had just said. His lips twisting in an awkward way, eyes avoiding her. It was as if what she had just said had torn him apart, peeled away the plaster that had hidden the wound she had left behind. “What do you want me to do?”

One moment, the young woman was laughing her head off at the conversation between the two. Yet, when she stopped for a moment, to look at him, it changed her whole attitude. For a second, it felt like old times between them before she screwed up things between them. Instead of thinking about what to say next, she blurted out, “Actually, I just missed you.” God, she wishes she could have taken it back the moment she said it. But, she was never the lucky type.  “I know.” She whispered mostly to herself, before adding, “Nothing! I don’t want you to do nothing because I didn’t mean it like that.” She shook her head, trying to actually think of the right words to say. “I mean, I think I was just projecting these feelings on how things used to be but before we dated if that makes sense?” She sighed, hoping he didn’t catch her small lie at the end. Because maybe they both knew what she really meant but she was not ready to open those cans of worms. “I’m sorry...I’m blaming it on my third glass of wine...now that was a mistake.” She muttered, glancing down at her empty wine glass, a small smile on her face.

but a cute supernatural-y sort of plot where one muse is a regular person who is trying desperately to prove that the supernatural exist - phone recording everything, going out late at night into their small town’s too-big forest, pulling all-nighters for research, maybe going so far as dabbling in blood rituals - and the other muse is some supernatural creature trying desperately to keep them safe. they’ve known each other for a short while - a ran into b in that forest after they fed, perhaps ? - and a has clung to them since. and the more a whacks the hornet’s nest with their big stick ( so to speak ), catching the attention and aggravation of much more powerful beings, b is now caught up in feelings ( romantic or platonic, either way ! ) for this hyperfixating, overexcited, terribly emotional human who is so driven to prove there’s more out there that they’re willing to risk never seeing it all to show it.

ANTONIO AND ROSE

Living down the street from the man made it easy for her to offer to watch his daughter when he left. It got her out of her house, which is something she really appreciated. She’d always been told to keep her questions to herself, but that night when he came in? It definitely worried Rose, and she was even more worried with sleep in her eyes. A little yawn and she was sitting up, nodding her head to the question. “I got her to sleep hours ago.” The response was quiet and polite, all the while she was rubbing her eyes and then standing up. “What… what happened to you?” Her father would be so upset with her asking this, being so out of line. But she couldn’t help it; she was concerned. 

If it wasn’t for his love of fighting and wanting to provide for his daughter, he would've been stop fighting. But if it wasn’t for his uncle owning a gym, maybe he wouldn’t have fallen in love with boxing. After all, punching a bag all night long changed his life forever. But besides that, he knows working with and for his brother is out of the question. He would rather take multiple punches to his whole body than deal with his brother's mess. He looks over at the young girl, raising an eyebrow. “Didn’t your folks tell you that it’s a good idea to stay out of people's business?” He takes the piece of meat off his face, placing it down on the counter. “It’s none of your concern but I had a boxing match about an hour or two ago.” After a moment he adds, sighing, “That’s why I needed someone to look after Maria for a couple of hours.” He would've asked his sister or his aunt and uncle but he often believed that he was a burden to his family. Yet, he knows they would never tell him anything like that. “Anyways, thank you for watching Maria.”
