She kept a hold on his hand as they stepped through the remainder of the place that she loved. Taking a deep breath, as they passed through the door before hearing it collapse when he stepped through. Faye looked back to him and nodded in agreement, giving his hand a squeeze again.
"I think it was back through here." She headed toward the kitchen, from what she had caught earlier. The office seemed okay at least, that was something she could deal with later. Now was not the time to deal with insurance claims.
She sniffed the air and could only really seem to smell smoke, "Do you smell anything?" She asked squeezing his hand a little. "All I got is fucking ash and smoke."
Faye was frustrated, she could feel it all pent up in muscles. She picked up something shining from the ground, finding Max's bracelet she tucked it into her pocket. She let the artist know later, maybe she could give it to Will. Give him an extra excuse to check on the witch.
"I haven't heard anything about what happened to Gwen. Did you hear anything?"
The hug was unexpected, if only because they were both just angry at the world around them. She felt the shell she’d been making around her crack a little, her muscles relaxing in his hold and she slumped a little. Her forehead resting on his chest as she took a shakey breath, her resolve slipping a little. There was a breath of relief as he agreed to come with her further into the chaos. She wasn’t sure it was a smart plan given how they were both running on emotions that were hard to control but the alternative was worse. Sitting and waiting was not an option, if she were to do that she’d go insane.  She looked back toward Kiln and then in the direction of Nevermore that she called home most nights.  Helping Gwen was the priority, she was still alive and they maybe could learn about something to help her. She’d let the cops handle her brother for now, she wasn’t sure she could face that and Will had lost his home as well there.. so best not to face those demons yet. “Lets go check Nevermore, maybe we can help Gwen.” She squeezed his hand before starting down the street toward the restaurant already having a vague idea of how it looked but she hadn’t gone inside. Perhaps it could lead to whoever had attacked her best friend and their business, something to help ease the rage would be good before one or both of them did something stupid.

Before she answered, he knew. Despite the fact that he'd left the pack, they would morn. Augustine would always be one of them. His hand clenched and unclenched around the handle of the knife. He longed to pull the trigger on his gun. He wanted someone to pay the price for what they had done.
First there was Faye. There was nothing to be done for the dead, but the living suffered. He would do what he could for Augustine, but William needed to take care of Faith. His heart melted from the affection she bestowed upon him. That little flinch caused Will to take her into his arms, hugging her tightly to him. He couldn't promise that everything would be alright. He doubted that it would ever be the same again, but he could promise that they wouldn't just stand around doing nothing.
"I know." The growl in his voice rumbled deeply betraying the little control he currently had on his emotions. Vengeance wouldn't bring Auggie back nor would it help Gwen heal, but it would make him and Faye feel a hell of a lot better. "We are going to make them regret what they've done." It was a vow to her. No matter if it cost him his own life, Will would make them pay for what they have done.
"Abso-fucking-lutely." He could hear his phone chiming. He was certain that Max and Jax disapproved of what he was about to do. They were his voice of reason, but those voices needed to be quiet for now. What he needed was the same thing as Faye- blood for blood.

His question was so innocent and sweet, she wished she could tell him he'd be back but there was no coming back from this one. She shook her head in response as he continued to process what she had been grappling with for a while now but she refused to shift from being angry. She felt his hand on her cheek bringing her out of the cold exterior to the cold and hurting girl underneath. She leaned into his hand a little, turning her head kissing his palm before leaning away. The green of that symbol made her wanna scream. "I don't know... I just want to hurt them, I need them to feel what they did." She walked over to unconscious man checking his pockets for anything useful. She growled softly tossing the man's wallet back on his chest. "I'm heading further in... i haven't been able to find fucking anything to help with Gwen...or the ones that killed Augs. Wanna come with?" She offered him her hand, still covered in splatters of blood and ash smeared across her palm. "Its probably safer to go together..."
His blood ran cold as the noise of the world disappeared around him. "Gone like went out of town?" It was a stupid question but William could not fathom something happening to Augustine. He was too stubborn for death. Will could imagine him telling the Grim Reaper to fuck off. Yet Faye wouldn't lie to him. If she said he was gone, that meant he was gone.
"We are going to get them." He didn't know how. Every lead so far was a bust, but this was too much. Artemis took too much from the wolves. If it had just been property damage, William wouldn't be on the streets with a gun. If it was just seeing Gwen in the hospital, his blood lust might have been satisfied by picking off a member or two after a prolonged hunt. This was the last mark against his kind. He would see them pay. He would personally find a way to get the information on who the hell these bastards were.
His entire body quaked with rage until he realized that Faye was standing before him. Taking a deep breath, he softened a bit, reaching out to cup her face. "I'll be fine. It's you I'm worried about. What is it that you need?" All she needed to do was name it, and it would be done.

She flicked the safety back on before tucking the gun away again. Her weight shifting on the her right leg and more casual now that the humi was out cold. She kind of hated that it wasn't one of them, she wanted it to be. Hell at this point she just wanted to keep chasing, keep hunting, keep breaking anything she could get her hands on. When he spoke again her blood ran cold once more and she stared at the man on the ground. "Yeah..." When she spoke there was none of it's usual pep or gravel. The sound was so foreign to her she hardly could believe it was her voice. She tried to consider how to say this, especially given his already heightened emotions. The last thing she wanted was to have him getting hurt. She wasn't sure she could survive that too. She turned to look at the mark of the fuckers that had destroyed so much. "He's gone, Will." Her eyes didn't leave the mark, "Parents called, I've been out here since." He would understand, she was half sure that's how she ended up running into him out here. "You okay? You're not hurt right?"
William kept his grip tight on the human's neck. Judging by the racing pulse, the person was scared, but that didn't matter. All he could think of was how his brave little Gwen looked in that bed. He could only imagine what happened to the still missing August. Someone had to pay. It wasn't as if he was killing the guy- yet. He growled, leaning closer to the one that trembled in his hold.
Hearing the familiar voice, Will glanced behind him. She had blood dripping from her body, yet by her stance alone, Will knew that the majority of it didn't belong to Faye. Both of them were surging with the adrenaline of their own hunt. The fact that she was standing here safe took a weight off his shoulders. There were those whom he cared for more than most. Despite his normally easy-going demeanor, he was ready to bring hell to the door of any who made the chosen few suffer.
The body against the concrete went limp, slumping to the ground as soon as William let go. This wasn't Artemis or if it was, they were one of the weaker and newer members. He saw the look in the eyes of the true believers. They would die rather than risk betraying their cause. This was merely a human caught at the wrong place. "Not one of them." He shook his head with disgust. They must be near though. They'd taken down the power grid for the area. They put that mark up. They were hiding nearby just out of reach. "Any news on your brother?"

She was past rage to the stone cold anger that kept all visual representation of her emotions off her face. The only thing she could feel was her worry that any of the others she cared for had been hurt. There was that guilt she buried for having been at the warehouse when the fires started, she hadn’t been able to make it back to Nevermore only to learn that Gwen was now at the hospital. She’d fought off those she could find in Chissob before finally making it to Lunar Heights and doing what she could not that there was much she could do there. The phone call had been the kicker that sent her to this final straw, before this Faye had no desire to go ‘hunting’ Artemis’ followers but this was the end of that. For the most part, she had been rather neutral when it came to going against them, but this had gotten out of control.
“Seems, I’m not the only one.” Faye wiped a bit of blood off her lip as she shifted to stand to his left but still to the side of him. Her bruises, scrapes, and wounds already healing, but the traces of all that in her hair still evident. The red of blood and the ash a stark difference to her white hair, normally this would have bothered her, the disarray of her hair and torn clothing was very much a smaller issue at the moment. She placed her hand on Will’s shoulder and gave it a soft squeeze before stepping back again. She certainly wasn’t going to get in his way, as far as she was concerned, he wasn’t doing anything wrong.
“Is it one of them or just some fucking idiot that doesn’t know where they should be?” She unholstered the pistol that she’d tucked in the back of her pants the sound of the slide clicked as she held it in her hand still pointed down towards the ground. It was mostly in case and humans tended to be more afraid of that then the idea that wolves were an actual thing.
Blackout// OPEN
Location: Any of the buildings that were marked
He wasn't thinking straight or at all. The only thing that Will could see was his sweet little Pengwen laying in the hospital with all those machines beeping loud enough to remind them all that she was alive but not well. He saw the tears in Max's eyes. He heard that something about to August. The lone wolf might have technically been stronger than Will, but he still remembered the boy that he once was. Those were his loved ones hurt, and no one on that fancy Council was doing shit about it. It meant that they were all on their own.
It took Will a few moments to navigate the streets filled with the chaos of those running and those taking advantage of the situation. Working for City Hall meant that he saw the best of the city; now he got to witness the worst. The wolf growled at anyone who dared to come too close. Finally he found the camping store. The place was abandoned, but it was easy enough to secure the weapons and tools he wanted. He left a pile of money on the counter. If someone wanted to steal it, it wasn't his problem. His problem was finding a lead.
As he left the store, Will saw someone looking at the hunting mark left by Artemis. This person smelled human, but that didn't mean anything anymore. It was clear at least one member of Artemis was a witch. Still the way that person remained almost in awe despite everything around them pissed him off. Will grabbed the person by the collar, slamming them against the building. "Admiring your handy work?"

A New Stage
Where: Garond Who: When: After the black outs
Tumblr media
Grief comes in five stages, at least that's what everyone says. The news had come as a shock and she didn't bother to even sit at the denial stage. She shifted right into anger the anger was bubbling and hot, as much as she wanted to go to check on her cousin. Jax and the others would take care of Gwen, she could go hunting instead.
Revenge was not in the five stages, she'd suggest they add it later. She stopped at her apartment long enough to pick up her knife and the gun she kept sashed in her bed side table tucking it at the back of her jeans and pulled her shirt over top before heading out to Hereafter to start the hunt. She could give less of a fuck about being in a territory she really didn't belong in.

She gave him a smile and leaned back into him happy to have a moment to just be the little sister again. "Yeah, I know. At least you know I love ya and that I'll always be the annoying little sister." Faye chuckles and raises her glass to him, before taking a long drink. "Besides I don't think you want me trying to set up a blind date for you. I can assure you it would make you hate me instead of love me for the adorable scamp that I am."
"Merry Christmas, Augs." She kissed his cheek and took his hand giving it a squeeze. "Now shall we go attempt to be social or get drunk in here till they have to carry us off in wheelbarrows?"
Augustine’s face fell flat and he rolled his eyes, knowing Faye was joking but still finding it a bit much. “Yeah? Well thank fuck for that,” he responded, thinking of how the wolf she spoke of was a bit much. “You have an odd way of showing care, know that? I’ll consider talking to Elena about it… but not sure if she will even want to see me again after tonight. So who knows.”

The little bit of pink on his cheeks was enough to have her grinning from ear to ear again, resting her head on his shoulder as she reached over and plucked on one the strings making that soft twang sound. “Well you do fit that angst vibe pretty well.”
She rests her hands on her knees but left her head resting on his shoulder, part of it was maybe that she was still high from the treats earlier or it was perhaps that she just enjoyed his company. She’d probably never tell him that she thought he was cute…he didn’t like love or whatever so the likelihood of him rejecting the feelings she had were more than likely. Would she still look cool if she had a boyfriend? Or would that make her lame? It was a tough call so for now she’d just see what came from doing the innocent little move for now maybe if he like liked her he’d go ahead and just ask her. “Would you play it for me?”
Tumblr media
He probably shouldn't have done it. He'd seen what happened when one gave into emotions. The heart he gave Faye a pale imitation to the one ripped out of his chest when all his delusions about happy marriages were shattered in a moment. Still he had felt the need to give it to her. Maybe it was how her confidence made her look like a badass when in that stupid uniform they are required to wear. Or maybe it is the way that she practically glowed like an earth angel when the light hit her just so. Whatever it was, giving her a little something felt right.
The brush of her lips against his cheek felt far more gentle than a butterfly's wing. It took him a moment to process what happened. He turned a bright pink, barely resisting the urge to ask her what the hell that was for. Instead he cleared his throat. "A song about angst."

"I mean I am but seems a shame not to share in the fun." She wrapped up the extra brownie stuffing it into her pocket for later when the current one was fading out later. She frowned a little that her fellow 2C troublemaker wouldn't be joining her for shenanigans.
"Boo your couch then." Her eyes practically beamed at the sight of the water balloons. She was already likely in trouble for the whole 'Barbie' getting high thing so she might as well take advantage of the situation at hand. "You beautiful human, you. You just the way to my little trouble maker heart. I will endeavor to not hit you with whatever I put in these but I'm apologizing now if I do."
Tumblr media
Isko turned when his name was called, a brow raising at the girl's energetic arrival. "Faith," he greated, looking down at the box. "I did not but tha's okay, it looks like you're enjoying them enough for the both of us," he teased.
As tempting as it was, Isko's father firmly told him that he needed to attend tutoring today and he would be quizzed on it. One of those brownies could knock him on his ass so it wasn't a risk worth taking. "I can't, promise coach to help run through drills with the first years but I did get you a little gift to cause your havoc." Leaning down, he pulled out a large bag of water balloons, ready to be filled with water or something worse. "I figure if I can't be there, I can be your kind benefactor," he explained, handing them over to her.

She shifted to sit beside him against the brick wall, for all his rambling about how love wasn't real the fact that he'd gotten her a gift at all was kinda sweet. The other two had been from family so those felt like more required. Bill didn't have any social requirement to get her anything so the fact that he did made her little mischievous heart swoon a little. "Fine, I wont." She shrugged before leaning over and kissing his cheek, she was curious to see how he'd react to that but chose not to focus on it. "So what song you working on?"
Tumblr media
Will groaned, letting his head fall back against the brick wall. He hated and loved that voice. Love wasn't real, but damnit if she didn't make his little black heart miss a beat when he heard her. Still that nickname was terrible.
"Don't mention it." Really he would prefer that she didn't say a word. It was easier to forget that for a single second he'd played into the stupid tradition that shouldn't exist at all.

"Good, I'm glad to hear it. I will let him know and he'll probably want me to come home again when I tell him but ya know." She shrugs, it was kinda nice to know that her little brother still liked her and missed her sometimes. "I mean it's not boring like it is at home so ya know. Plus every night is a new adventure you know." "Good if he does you let me know and we'll fix it, m'kay. I get to mess with you and the rest of the family no one else." She gave a glare to one of the popular girls from the first years and heard her squeak before chuckling again. "You going on the trip at the end of the week?"
Caleb visibly deflated when Faye called him 'nerd' so brightly and loudly. She was not wrong and it was not the first nor the last time she would call him that, but did she have to call him out so outrageously?
"You won't need to worry about that. Tell Auggie his heart is safe and sound. The last thing I'd want to do is get in trouble. I don't understand how you can keep doing it." This was Caleb's way of reprimanding his cousin, even if he had to do it in a more subdued and roundabout way. "And no, Leon has not been bullying me. He's actually a pretty good class president."

2C's Bad Blood | Faye & Isko
@iskodeguzman
Tumblr media
"ISKO!" She bounded over still high and holding another brownie in her hand and wiggled it a little for him. "Did you get the gifts from Lukey boy? They're pretty good." She flopped down in the desk in front of him and turning around to face him. She wasn't really much of a sports kid but she'd always enjoyed watching the meets and games with their little gang of trouble and whatever they would get up to later. "Do you have practice today or are you gonna come skip with me and the boys and cause problems on the roof?"

Dark Little Hearts | Faye & Bill
@will-rogers
Tumblr media
"Hey word boy!" She shouted from across the roof and sauntered over. The uniform wasn't her normal vibe but the school was being kinda a dick about it so she was wearing the usual thing and her leather jacket over top. She had one of the Pocky sticks her cousin had gave her in the corner of her mouth smirking. "Thanks for the treat, Billy. It was really cute of you really."

"Oh hey Nerd!" Faye popped the pocky stick from the corner of her mouth. She'd been ready to fight whatever punk ass bitch had ran into her but this was her cousin so that died in it's tracks. While fighting others was fine, she wasn't about to go fighting her cousin. Not that she was really sure Caleb could fight. "I'm fine you didn't even knock me that hard." "Thanks for the gift," She popped the treat back into the corner of her mouth. "Hows 2A going for you? Leon's not being a shit head right? Last thing we need is you to be playin trouble out here with me. You'll break poor Auggies heart."
trouble | faye & caleb
for: @faithinlycaon location: 2nd floor school hallway
Caleb was walking down the hallway on the way back from dropping chocolate off on Faye's desk. He was still getting used to his much longer strides after the growth spurt he hit recently and he had never taken up this much room until now. Being suddenly freakishly tall had not been on his 2025 bingo card, but here he was now almost bowling someone over, a someone who happened to be...
"Oh, sorry, cuz," he said as he reached out to make sure Faye did not fall over. The two Lycaon cousins could not be more different, but it was only because Caleb was much more like his other cousin, Augustine, and Faye was more like Caleb's sister Gwen. Not that Gwen is a delinquent like Faye, Caleb thought without voicing it out loud. It was funny how genetics worked out. "You alright?"

From Gwen
Found in Faye’s desk is a small, plain box with a note that reads “From G.” Inside is a music box that, when wound up, begins playing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”
Tumblr media
She looked around made sure no one was watching before she opened the box and heard the song play. While she’s a delinquent.. she still loved music. She hummed as she played the song and snacked on the treats that others had left.

From Caleb
Tumblr media
A pack of Valentine’s Pocky sits on Faye’s desk with a note that reads ‘Stay out of trouble, cuz! Love, Caleb’
“Hehe, doubtful.” She pops open the box and then the bag before sticking one in her mouth like a cigarette that she’d have after school and hummed a little. “Not a half bad gift nerd boy.”
