I go to a hotel in california and i get a room with a king size bed and i am excited to sleep in the famed "california king" but when i arrive i find that it is suspiciously not as large as it should be. So i call the concierge and ask whats going on, and im told that hotels dont have california king size beds, just normal king sized beds, despite being in california. I am outraged at the discrepancy and immediately tell the concierge that i cannot stay at such a misleading establishment only to be informed that, while anyone can come to this hotel, i can, in fact, NEVER leave-

why do people think the concept of “thought ‘crimes’” extends to things you post online. you have laid it out for other people to see, it’s no longer just a thought in your head. lol

I didn't know this, but I just found out that the Philadelphia Zoo has a network of animal walkways to allow their animals to roam around the zoo! They call it "Zoo360" and honestly it looks pretty cool.

They've also got goats and horses and great apes that all have the ability to Get Around places. I assume that they just loop back to the original enclosure eventually, but what a fun kind of enrichment for animals who travel great distances in the wild regularly! I can't believe other zoos haven't added anything like this to their setups! It looks like it's been up and running around 10 years now, and if so, it seems like it must be pretty safe for everyone involved, and the animals are still using it regularly enough there are lots of videos of them from zoo visits. What a neat concept!

I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. They were teachers and librarians and bookkeepers and scientists and they damn well spent their own money going to conventions, printing zines, buying fanart and making fandom happen. Put some respect on their names.

Imagine if you locked Light and Patrick Bateman in a room together. They would be having the most generic conversation but you wouldn’t be able to hear it over the sound of their overlapping internal monologues.
