Lately I feel like defending Lucien because he has so much potential and he went through a lot too and sometimes I feel like people see him as an extension of Tamlin and his actions and forget that he went through a lot too, even by the hand of someone who he considered a friend.
"Silence again.
Then a vicious snarl, and a shudder of magic rocked the house.
I didn't want to know what was happening in that room, what he'd done to Lucien, what Lucien had even looked like to cause that pulse of power."
""It's why I couldn't come sooner,"" he said, his throat bobbing. "She used her - used our powers to keep my back from healing. I haven't been able to move until today.""
I feel like all of this, including his complex relationship with Feyre, needs to be acknowledged way more than making him seem like he's the worst, often because of unjustified reasons. If you re-read a lot of scenes including or involving Lucien and trying to empathize with him more you'll notice that he often got the short end of the stick. I'm not saying he's perfect because a lot of characters are complex but he's not the villain.

"Cassian's heart strained at the pain etching deep into Lucien's face"
I want Lucien to be happy. I think people villainize him more than he deserves. None of the acotar characters are perfect, depending on whose POV it is we're getting very different impressions of them anyways. I think this is why getting a Lucien POV would be very important because he comes with so much history and pain and longing. He's been through a lot and he might not be perfect but I think his story is also worth hearing about.

Here to remind everyone how amazing Gwyn is.
Nesta's found family including Gwyn and Emerie is one of the best things SJM gave us.

for a fandom that revolves around a book the reading comprehension seems to be very low sometimes to the point where I reached my limit. With the accusations people throw around over a ship it has gotten very tiresome to even want to look up gwynriel content because so much of it is laced with toxicity and terrible accusations because people enjoy invading spaces that clearly aren't meant for them. It would be less frustrating if people expressed their dislike over gwynriel by being mature about it but every time the algorithm gives me content on any platform that is about gwynriel (a ship I enjoy and support) I see 7/10 posts of people being obnoxiously rude because they don't like the ship.
The idea of Gwyn being a main character in one of the upcoming books isn't really ridiculous or far-fetched, I don't understand why people approach the possibility with such a hostile mindset? It's a possibility, same with her ending up with Azriel. It doesn't have to be a done deal but they have potential and I just want to look at content about them without people being unnecessary rude and toxic. Liking Gwyn doesn't automatically mean you dislike Elain, I don't know why people have the mindset that you must dislike Elain if you like Gwyn but a lot of people blurred the line between ships and characters that they think if you dislike elriel you hate Elain, if you like Gwyn/gwynriel you also hate Elain? And I don't understand how everyone just assume that. You can like and dislike whomever you wish to but the moment you go into spaces and tear people down over their preference that's when it gets frustrating.
People assuming Gwyn getting a book or being a huge part of the upcoming book doesn't mean Elain won't get one but somehow people think if you're under the impression that Gwyn will be an important character in one of the books it means Elain won't get a book and I don't see where that came from? It makes absolute sense that Elain will get a book but Azriel getting a book doesn't mean it's guaranteed that it will be about his and Elain's POV (and their POV only) but it's a possibility (just a possibility) at the same time we might also get a book between Elain and Lucien. There are a lot of storylines that still need to be wrapped up and relationships to explore. Azriel, Elain, Lucien are all part of those.
Also in my opinion when I read the first two acotar books I didn't expect to get a book where Nesta (for example) is the main character, yet here we are. We can't 100% say who will be the main character or main relationship in the next acotar books but ridiculing people for thinking Gwyn is of importance and then tagging anything related to Gwyn or gwynriel just to be hostile towards her and the ship is really not it and I wish people could do better in that regard.
