wriblr intro!!
hey, everyone!
pronouns are he/they. i'm a web dev by day and an aspiring writer & artist by night. a bit about my writing:
i write fantasy.
i love weird magic.
forest magic!!
faeries, elves, weird nature-inspired creatures/stuff, etc
heavy focus on the platonic aspect of relationships, even in romances, because, well, i'm aroace.
also here for siblings, friends, platonic relationships in general!
most of my characters are nonbinary and in the aro/ace spec, usually masculine-leaning.
i don't write ya or middle grade. all my stuff is adult.
i'm currently reevaluating my wips to see which ones i'd like to keep/work on moving forward, but these two are 100% staying:
#ANTISNOWWHITE
fantasy | post-apocalyptic | mystery | faeries | creepy forest | fairy tale-inspired | revenge & redemption
in a world that was once covered and ruled by a magical, bloodthirsty forest and its monstrous inhabitants, a young prince is exiled to its borders for mysterious reasons and raised by seven shadow wolves until, ten years later, he finally manages to escape. his goal now is simple: get his throne and kingdom back.
#FANTASY ROMANCE WIP
romance | fantasy | faeries | creepy forest | monster li
no blurb yet! but it's a story about rowan, a hunter, and loifa, the deity/faerie that protects his village. set in the same world as antisnowwhite, but with a completely different cast of characters.
my plan is to write a good chunk of fantasy romance wip during nanowrimo. it's my first time writing a romance so it will be interesting.
that's it, i guess! i'm always looking for more writers to follow, especially if we write the same genre!
you can also find me on twitter and instagram.

Looking for writeblrs
My dash has gotten a bit sparce of writers lately, so interact with this post if you're an active/semi active writeblr, and I'll come and check your blog out!
Bonus points if:
> you write fantasy, historical fiction or sci-fi
> you are LGBT+ or you write LGBT+ content
> you're okay with occasional random asks about your work (I get invested very easily)
> I can go through your blog and spam like/reblog (which I do accidentally sometimes)

this is very helpful, thank you both!
my problem comes mostly from the fact that i usually write romance as a subplot as well, so i'm not sure how much "outside stuff" i should have. i'm afraid of making the story too much about something else and not their relationship... though again, maybe a mix of plot and romance is what i truly want. i still have much to think about xd
my main struggle with romance fantasy wip right now is that i have no idea of how to plot a romance. anyone has any resources on that? i read a lot of romance but have never written anything focused on romance instead of... anything else really
#im also aroace so you can imagine my anguish here#i looooooooove reading romance#i think i will enjoy writing it too#but theres so much i dont know#writing romance

Bite Your Neighbor cover reveal!
I’m so excited to share this amazing cover, illustrated by @thistlearts with typography by Houda Belgharbi. I went into the cover creation process wanting a very specific feel for this ebook and paperback cover, and how it all came together blew me out of the park.
How does one entrap a vampire? Offer to let them feed on you, of course. But Wesley underestimates how good the bite will feel, and how easily the handsome predator’s sweet, shy nature will make him doubt all his previous goals…
Slow-burn M/M romance
Vampire x human
Oblivious pining
Disasters to lover
Bite Kink
If you noticed that this cover is only for ebook and paperback, that’s because there will likely be a separate hardcover version announced at a later date, along with audiobooks! (Don’t wait to buy it though, because whether these versions come out depends on how well the ebooks and paperbacks do.)
PRE-ORDER EBOOK!

When a character is assured enough in their own power that they are completely relaxed in dangerous situations??? When that same character becomes tense and uncomfortable in the mundane because they don't have a framework for peace?????? When they help navigate violence for another character and in return that character helps them navigate softness??????????? That's all, your honour

1. weird forest magic/creatures from the forest in general
2. complicated platonic relationships as the main force behind the plot (usually between siblings)
3. post apocalypse in fantasy world
4. slightly surreal settings
5. characters who are just a bit too vain and angry
Writing question
This was a tag game, but I want to hear as many answer to this as possible. What are the 5 things you never get tired of writing? Tropes, themes, characters, phrases, settings, genres, very specific elements, styles,...

LISTEN,
the very CONCEPT of bodyguards is so narratively juicy and excellent, and I don’t just mean like “character x is character y’s bodyguard so they can be in the same place and fall in love”, I mean the protectiveness, the tension of trying to balance personal and professional, the unified dichotomy of devoted guardian/loyal servant! the power dynamic.
and even platonically speaking?? again: loyalty!! personal/professional!! the sheer delight of watching someone kick righteous ass in defense of their principal!! honestly it’s even good when the two people in question hate each other. it’s always good. write more bodyguards into your stuff, I’ll read it.

Aro-ace representation needs to be less docile. Give me an aro-ace who is bastardous and vehement and also bites people

People tell you, write for yourself. But writing and creating are two very different things. I create for myself all the time. Everyday. Every self-indulgent scenario, AU and scene I come up with while waiting in the queue, walking home or falling sleep. I create 100 times a day in my head. I write to share what I created, to connect with people, to show the world what I made. Writing is the hard part. Writing is the work, the ordering of thoughts, the play with language, the skill to be gained slowly and gradually like pulling teeth. So no, I don't write for myself.
