Once given permission Rowan carefully scooped up Russell. Holding him close bridal style as he carried him. Using a bit of magic to make his steps lighter as to not jostle him. Following his directions to his apartment, Rowan grinned at the balcony.
“Smart. I like the balcony way. Hold on, cutie.” Letting illusion magic surround them Rowan kicked off the ground and let his wings appear. Flying them up to the marked balcony easily.
“I might not be a healer like you. But my wings aren’t anything to sneeze at.” He chuckled. Though he reluctantly set Russell on his feet to let them into his home.
“You good? I didn’t go to fast, did I?”
“Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Let’s get you to your apartment.” Rowan looked over Russell. He was still worried but watching as the wounds healed he felt relief too.
“Here. Let me carry you. You just direct me and I’ll get us there in a flash.” He gave him a confident grin and carefully moved to pick up his crush-friend! His friend. He placed a hand on Russell’s back but waited for permission to pick him up.
“I promise I won’t drop you. And I’ll be real careful. Promise.”

Rowan pulled away more carefully, feeling Russ winced had guilt eating at him. He was hurt! And the fae just… ugh. Rowan pulled his hair frustrated at himself.
“Sorry. Sorry. Here. Can I help? Remove some of the glass? Do you need water? I got a water bottle?” Okay. Maybe he was crap in emergency situations. But the fact Russell could heal himself calmed Rowan a bit.
“You’re sorry? For what? Russ, you’re hurt. That ain’t your fault. And me? Well I guess you can say I’m not great at… uh… helping?” He chuckled nervously. Kneeling besides his friend and trying to see what he could do for him.
“So… you’re going to be okay?” His voice was soft and his eyes scanned Russell’s face.
“Do you want to go somewhere else to heal? My place isn’t far. Or I can get you to your house?”

“Don’t worry? Don’t worry?!” He will deny that his voice cracked as he panicked over his friend. Kneeling beside him, Rowan was fully ready to pick Russell up and fly to the hospital. Then… the blood was moving back up to the wound?!
Rowan’s eyes widened and watched in awe as he healed. A surprised and relieved laugh escaped him as he moved forward and hugged Russell.
“Y-you’re okay! Haha. Russ you’re incredible!”

Wandering the town had become one of Rowan’s favorite pastimes. Exploring and seeing everything he could. There was always something going on. And today was no exception. A window had apparently shattered. The street closed and people gawking. Rowan looked around curious before a scent caught him.
He knew that scent. And it was paired with blood. Rowan jolted and began following the scent. Panic welling in him. That panic only getting worse when he finally found his friend.
“Russ?!” Rowan rushed over to him, careful of the glass pile. He winced and hovered his hands over him. Not sure what to do. How to help. He wasn’t a healer. His magic was useless to…
“What can I do? We… we need to get you to the hospital. G-get you some stitches.”

Closed for @faerowanaine
Russell frowned, wincing with each large shard of glass he pulled out of his arm, his shoulder, his neck, and his face. It was no one's fault that that office window above him broke (it was old and fragile) but it did so many pieces have to fall into his skin.
He had ran off before anyone could possibly see him like this, and he had tucked himself away into an alley. Then he had sat himself down and got to work in getting the shards out. A small pile had started to build up next to him.
"Agh... sh-shit..." he couldn't help but curse quietly as he tried to wriggle a particularly stubborn one free from his neck, not realising that one person in particular was going to hear him.

Rowan raised a brow as he entered his own contact into Russell’s phone.
“Hey now! None of that, cutie. I love listening to your voice. Stutter and all.” Row grinned as he handed the phone back to him.
“I’d just prefer to hear it in person so I can also see your pretty face.” Rowan stood up to clean their table.
“I think I’ll get those games we talked about. I’m actually excited to get back into gaming.” Looking over at Russell, the fae couldn’t help but chuckle.
“So I’ll see you before I head out. You go brighten your customers’ days like you did mine. Though, I may get a little jealous.” He gave him a playful wink. He knew a lot of his flirting had gone over the other’s head. It was beginning to be a game and a challenge. One that Rowan was enjoying. He already was fond of the human… though he wasn’t sure why. And showering him with compliments was just too fun.
“Oh, shite. Sorry. Forgot I couldn’t keep you all to myself.” Had the time really gone by that fast? Rowan was a bit disappointed. But Russell got rid of that disappointment fast when he offered him his number. Rowan couldn’t get his phone out fast enough. Almost dropping it in his rush.
“Of course! I’d love it!” He passed his phone to Russell to add him to his contacts.
“Uh, I suck at calling. Hope you’re okay with texting?” Rowan was still getting use to technology. And for some reason when he tried talking over the phone his magic would interfere. He didn’t want to freak Russell out. Texting would be safe.

“Hey. Take your time. Over coming shit that scares you shouldn’t be rushed. Otherwise you’ll just freak yourself out more.” Rowan rested his chin in his hand that was propped up on the table.
“But if you ever want backup, I’m more than willing to be your lifeguard. I won’t let anything bad happen to you.” And he meant it. Russel was just too good for any harm to come to him.
“I’m a social guy. But honestly if you’re the only friend I make around here, I’d be very content.” Rowan chuckled and closed his eyes in thought. The atmosphere and food had him feeling content and relaxed. He could almost take a nap here.
“Yeah. I like it here. I’ll have to stop by every day to brighten up your day.” Peaking his eyes open he gave Russell a wink.

Rowan was loving all the possibilities. So many places to explore! But he did catch the hesitation and shiver as Russell spoke of the ocean. He raised a brow curious.
“Not a fan of the deep blue? Can’t say I blame you.” Row could always explore that on his own. No way would be make the cute guy go near something that freaked him. Usually the fae liked messing with people. Pushing them. But Russell.,. He didn’t want to do that.
“You call it being decent. But let me tell you, you’re a rare gem, Russ. To be so nice and think it’s normal? Not many of you out there.” He paused to take a long drink. It really was becoming a favorite. The warmth and sweet. His fae side hummed happily.
“I’ve traveled a lot. Met a lot of different people. Think you’re close to the top of my favorite list now.” He chuckled.
“I know I’ve been pretty forward. And, shite. If you feel like I’m pressuring you into chilling with me, you let me know. Okay? But I would like to be friends. Only if you’re comfortable with it, okay cutie?”

Rowan hummed happily as he ate and listened to Russell. It was nice. The young man watched the people around them, but always returned his gaze to the one across from him.
“I’d like that. Especially the parks. Know any good hiking or walking trails?” He looked over Russell fondly. Yeah he was cute and flirting with him was fun, but Rowan was truly loving how kind he was. He didn’t have to sit with him on his break, but he did. And now even agreeing to take him around to show him places.
“You really are too sweet, Russ. I don’t think anyone’s been this nice to me when we just met. Being new, most people kinda looked over me.” Reaching out he placed a hand over Russell’s with a real smile.
“Thank you.” There was a tingling as he rested his hand over Russell’s. His magic sending something different.

Heh. Sweet treats. Just like him. Rowan stood to go order their drinks and food.
“Now that sounds delicious. I’ll got get it for us. You just sit here, relax, and keep lookin pretty.” Rowan gave him a wink as he headed to the counter. The curse of the fae was having a sweet tooth. And what Russell had picked really did sound perfect.
Easily balancing the plates and drinks back to the table, he served it with a bit of a flare.
“Your caramel dulce latte and apple pie.” The moment Rowan took a sip of his own his eyes widened.
“Oh! Wow! You weren’t kidding. This is really good!” The apple pie didn’t disappoint either. “These are almost as sweet as you.”
Leaning back again the fae thought for a moment. It was hard to explain that the whole area just… buzzed with energy. Almost like the Veil. Maybe that was why he was drawn here. Couldn’t say that though.
“It starting to feel like home. I’ve moved so often that I don’t usually get attached to an area, you know? But I think I might be able to settle here.” He smiled and couldn’t help but add, “and since you’ve been here so long, I bet you could show me all the sights, huh?”

Rowan chuckled.
“Light on your feet. Nothing wrong with that. Plus I get lost in my head. No street signs in there.” He grinned and sat back down. Looking back at the menu he shook his head.
“Not a clue. I figured I’d ditto you. You look like you’ve got good taste. So whatever you get has to be yummy.” He leaned back in his chair, stretching.
“And don’t worry, cutie. This is your break. Take the time you want. I have no where to be.” He gave the other a comforting smile.
“Seriously. I just moved here. Been taking in the sights and finding places to chill. Think this might have just become my favorite spot.”

Rowan’s grin grew at Russell’s agreement. The young man was cute and Rowan was finding his company nice.
“Awesome! See you then.” The red head found a table and looked over the menu. The treats and coffee all sounding good. Even as he relaxed he found his gaze going back to Russell. He was fascinating to the fae. His aura said there was something more to him.
Rowan jumped a bit when he heard Russell beside him. Had he really spaced out like that? Haha… space. He smiled up at the other.
“Ooh no. I asked you to join me. It’ll be my treat to treat you.” He stood and pulled the chair out for Russell.
“It’s your break after all. So sit and relax.”

Rowan only raised a brow at his apology. Shaking his head.
“Your mouth works just fine. Having a stutter isn’t wrong. Just means you think faster than you can talk. I bet your head is filled with wonderful thoughts.” He chuckled and lightly bumped Russell’s side with his hip.
“And I’d love to hear all of them. You already make this game sound great. I can’t wait to play.” Listening to him talk about the stars had Rowan grinning.
“Was always a fan of Altair. The brightest star in Aquila. But I like eagles. So I may be bias.” He chuckled. When Russell agreed to chilling with him at the cafe is face brightened.
“Perfect! I’ll hang out and wait for you, cutie!”

Listening to Russell, Rowan’s grin brightened as he recognized one of the games.
“I heard about No Man’s Sky. It’s an exploration game and you can build a base, right?” Exploring a sci-fi universe and planets sounded fun.
“And if you still go back to it, you can teach me too.” Rowan’s eyes went back to the tattoo.
“You have a favorite constellation?” Maybe Rowan was bored. Maybe he wanted to meet new people if this was to be his new home for a bit. Wherever it was, Russell had a good aura to him. Most people making Rowan tense. But him? It wasn’t even the guy’s nerves or stutter that made Rowan chill. Rowan just felt at ease with him.
“Hey. The cafe smells amazing. You think maybe after, you’d like to get a coffee with me and you can give a new gamer advice?”

With the young man’s stuttering, Rowan pulled back his energy a bit. Grinning and taking Russell’s hand calmly and in a gentle handshake.
“I love the stars and space. My adopted sister’s name is Lyra. I use to sit with her and listen as she told me the stories behind the constellations.” It had been a long time since he even thought about that. Letting Russell’s hand go, he looked at the shelves.
“Maybe that could be what I get back into. Think you could help me find something about the stars? Or something about their history? Stories?” Stargazing sounded kinda fun. When was the last time he even chilled and looked at the sky? Rowan gave Russell a smile.
“I mean. Your stars are pretty and all, but I can’t stare at them all day… or could I?” Giving him a teasing wink he chuckled.

“Sir?!” Rowan places a hand over his heart and dramatically gasps.
“It’s happened. I’ve turned old. Do I have a grey hair?! The horror!” The grin on his face showed her wasn’t at all bothered and was joking. Walking over to the other he offered his hand in greeting.
“I’m just teasin. No need to be so professional with me. The name’s Rowan. Or Row. Whatever floats your boat.” Looking around the shelves he tries to figure out just what he was looking for when his eyes landed on the other’s tattoos.
“Whoa!! Your art is fecking hot!” He gets closer to look at the constellations and colors. Awe written in his eyes. Then.. a soft chuckle when he notices just what constellation one was.
“Lyra.” He muttered fondly.

Rowan entered the shop with a spring in his step. This town was proving to be a good move. More things to do and shops to explore. Like this, Hidden Gem. He chuckled.
The coffee from the cafe smelled amazing. He’d have to get a coffee before he left. Now… what new hobby should he start? The fae grinned as he looked over the shelves.
