I know next to nothing about the Addam’s Family’s greater canon, but the fact that Lurch is visually so strongly based on Frankenstein’s Creature makes me so happy, because it’s the happy ending the Creature deserves and I can so imagine it? You have the Creature at the end of the novel who is lonely and who has resigned himself that he will never be loved and that all humans will reject him on sight and then he meets the Addam’s Family and they are the first ones who don’t attack him or run away screaming - they either don’t say anything or even more likely, they are high-key excited about a Creature put together from corpses. That’s probably the highest Addam’s aspiration, to be more than 1 corpse. So they take him in and he has a family for the first time. What a crossover. What over-thinking on my part. I love it.

Hey everyone, this is urgent: the family of Khaled, a young man with muscular dystrophy who is stuck in Gaza, had $24,000 stolen from them by a government they can't piss off. We can't talk about details for safety reasons (it's not the government you think, but nevertheless a terrifying one that regularly kills journalists), but the family has figured out a new, safe way to store the money and thus opened a new campaign for donations. They really have NOTHING left so they need all the contributions they can get, no matter how small. This is a vetted campaign; I am in personal contact with Nada, Khaled's sister.

So you may or may not have heard, Biden is proposing a constitutional amendment that would reverse the Supreme Court’s immunity decision and create term limits for the Supreme Court. A constitutional amendment requires Congress to pass it. If you have thoughts on this and want to encourage your representative to vote a certain way then MAKE YOUR VOICE BE HEARD. This may sound like odd advice, but I think it's important to remember that your character does not need to be smart.
Because there's often a lot of focus on characters, especially protagonists, having agency and pushing the story forward, people often make their protagonist particularly smart--they come up with the right solution at the end, they surprise people with how smart they are, they are one of the best at whatever they do.
Often, it ends up reading like a power fantasy, where the author gets to write and the reader gets to experience being proven right, other people seeing just how smart they are after having been underestimated. There's nothing inherently wrong with that.
But smart is not a personality trait that every character or every protagonist needs to have. Your protagonist can have the wrong ideas. Your protagonist can (and should) get stuff wrong. They can be a worker bee, a Type-B personality, a doer rather than a thinker. They can be a solid B- student (or whatever the equivalent is in your story).
