Probably gonna be undergoing some rebranding, and thinking about changing my handle along with it! I will probably become SunStained Streaming in the next few days before I reboot my channel.

fun free browser games!
Dress Up Sites:
Rinmaru Games - lots of avatar/character creators
Azalea’s Dress Up Dolls - a lot of love goes into their exclusive games
Missangest Games - most of their games have options for vitiligo, prosthetics, and a range of skin tones!
Doll Divine - super well organized
RPGs:
The Kingdom of Loathing - its dumb, doesn’t make much sense, and the characters are all stick figures but i think that’s what this country needs to heal
Fallen London - this plays like a victorian choose-your-own-adventure novel. the developers behind this game went on to make sunless sea, which is also super good!
Puzzle:
Achievement Unlocked - for all you achievement hunters out there
This is The Only Level - self-explanatory
I wish I were the Moon - game based on a folktale about a love triangle between a girl, a boy, and the moon.
Little Wheel - its up to you (a little robot) to bring power back to the world!
Haunt the House - in this funny and cute game you play as a ghost trying to scary everyone out of its home! its pretty cutesy but this game might make you jump (i’m super high strung) if you’re sensitive to jump scares or loud noises!
Record Tripping - definitely one of my favourites! you only need your mousewheel to play.
Point-and-Click:
Machinarium - i haven’t played this one but its gotten really high reviews and looks very well made!
Windosill - honestly this is the only interpretation those “escape the room” games that i like! its very whimsical
Detective Grimoire - tbh, i love this game so much that i bought the sequel on steam! you play as a detective and solve a murder mystery!
Platformer:
Scarygirl - the art style is really cute! reminds me of ruby gloom or something
Depict1 - another favourite. i won’t give anything away but you can’t trust this game.
Other:
Orsinal - this is my go to site when i’m anxious! the games are all super cute, fun, and calming. my favourite one is C A T S
Elude - this was designed to illustrate what depression feels like. its super well made and i found it an interesting experience!
Loved - this game arguably started the trend of “deep” casual games. i’ve heard a lot of people say that its an interpretation of how abusive relationships work, so potential trigger warning for manipulation/abuse
ImmorTall - a charming little game about the passing of time
Candy and Clyde - be an angel or an asshole
Flight - you play as a paper airplane. pretty touching actually

My demo for P R I S M - A Visual Novel is finally available on Steam! 🥳✨
I’m still working on the full game, and intend to have it finished no later than June.
After the full game has been approved and released, I will also finish my work on the artbook I have been making alongside. Said artbook will be a digital product.
On her way to the city of opportunity, a young Freyja is trapped when a sudden fog descends upon the town known as Avon-On-Reach. Soon, she starts to wonder if there’s more to the fog than meets the eye, and if it has a connection to the strange monstrous happenings around the town.

🚫 (Please know that if the demo struggles to play through the Steam Library itself, it can still be played through the actual file it saves itself to, just right-click the game and select ‘browse local files’ to find it!) 🚫
Reblogs forever appreciated, thank you! 💖✨

I love that Twitch does the stream points thing and that so many streamers have like. Basic self care stuff as their lower tier point redemptions. Like fuck yes I will make my fave stressed artist streamer check their posture and stretch for a full minute. Yes I will make the anxious gamer drink water as many times as I can redeem my points during a stream.

i've been crowdsourcing opinions about what content creators can do to protect photosensitive viewers when eliminating triggering effects isn't an option (to maintain integrity, or in streams, for instance) and it's almost universal that we'd prefer warnings as soon as possible. (titles, thumbnails, above gifs, before the flashing sections with a notice of how long to skip, etc.)
it's also important to make sure we don't miss anything! image/video descriptions and captions help a ton, but for youtubers and streamers, think of it like a photosensitive person is in the room with you: you'd say "you might want to look away... alright, if you haven't been watching, it looks like you're good!" (or give an indicator of when to skip to) and give a recap of what we missed.
a lot of us also have things that we do to make it safer to take in triggering media. so if warning is given with plenty of time in advance, we can prepare - when content creators say "this is going to be flashy in 5, 4, 3, 2..." i've barely found the pause button (and i'm probably just going to close it, let's be honest) but if you tell me at the beginning of the video, then i can make my own decision and prepare. (and then give me another warning right before!)
obviously it varies based on what a person is able to do, and no one will be perfect, but i would rather someone try than do nothing.
