Lets just imagine Terry Silver with a bit of a penchant for all things Mayan and Aztec.

It is interesting the way Terry goes with his Daniel manipulation in KK though. He creates a threatening environment and presents himself as the saviour. He's not coming with financial help which would be the first thought of a rich man, but he stands physically between Daniel & danger. Which is how Kreese earned his unconditional friendship to begin with.
But it takes him 30+ years to realise he's been used by Creese.
He understood the fertility of the conditioning logically, but emotionally he denied it to the bitter end.
how is Terry Silver simultaneously so manipulative and yet so manipulated. This guy can get in your head like nobody's business. Kreese is in this guy's head like nobody's business.

Day of Rest
He was eight the first time it happened. His Mama didn’t want to. She loved threading her long fingers through his curls. She loved his hair long, reaching his shoulders, pushing the bangs from his forehead to lay a warm kiss on his temple.
It was a shock when the curls were gone. Short hair. For a respectable boy. His Father’s orders.
It had been a Sunday, a few days before his birthday.
The housekeeper spat behind her. “The devil will be with you all week,” she said, crossing herself.
Terry would later know the devil never left him.

Panacea
The man staring back at him is old, white curls hang around his wrinkled face. Cautious, timid. Toothless.
Deceptively safe for everyone around him. Promoting values. A philanthropist.
Opening his kimono, he sees a torso he half-recognises, sans a tattoo, the cobra missing, youthful for his age. Youthful for any age, if he’s honest with himself.
And he’s only ever been honest with himself.
Anyone else has betrayed it.
Betrayal comes in many ways.
He wraps his hair in a ponytail.
There he is, older, thinner, danger lurking in the blue eyes and fangs behind thin lips.
Cure and malady.
Written for @allvalley100 drabble prompt “Snake oil”.
I went with the definition:  Snake oil is a term used to describe deceptive marketing, health care fraud, or a scam

Absolute travesty that critics choice awards hasn’t nominated Thomas for best villain.
Outrageous.
