I got an idea for a new silly guy. This is mimic, they are this little red creature that goes around imitating distressed/panicked noises of other creatures or people (they can say words like “Hi. Hello. Help. Pain” and shriek it to a horrific degree) and use that to lure prey that they then kill and crawl into the skin of. They absorb everything organic in that host, and then once it’s nothing but litterally a decaying pelt, they shed it off and go looking for a new victim. I drew an example of it using a horse since why not, but they can also do things like deer, large dogs, moose, people, bears, wolves, anything large enough for them they will use.
