“No, no. I’m okay,, I-I swear,” Mark groaned, looking exhausted and somewhat parched.

“Stop hiding youself, are you sure nothing’s wrong?” he pulled Mark’s forearms away from his face. Alex was almost sure there was something wrong, Mark had tried to hide himself three or four times already.

“Alright, but i’m worri-“

“Wait, Alex-“ Mark placed his hand on Alex’s chest, stopping him from closing in more. Mark looked at him with those teary eyes that he would use so often.

“It’s not okay, i’m not ready yet…”

“Alright,” Alex blinked slowly, “I’m gonna pull out, and you’re gonna take a calming shower.” He slowly removed his length from Mark, leaving him to lay still on the mattress.

“I’m sorry, so- so sorry,” Mark whined, apologising in every way he shouldn’t.

“Don’t be,” Alex pressed his lips to Mark’s forehead, gentle love is what comforted him.

“I, I really want to- I do, but it just doesn’t feel right,” Mark whines, apologizing more to himself this time.

//Time Skip of Two-ish Minutes//

The water streams through his hair and down his back, cold droplets kiss his shoulders. Alex was right, cold showers **are** calming. As he gets more used to the icy gnaw of the air on his soaked skin, he breathes in the once cold atmosphere. Subsequently drinking in the smell of hot cocoa, adding to a domestic feel that flooded the household.

Finally, he was at peace. After a long day of work and.. *that*. Taking an extra five minutes to savor the feeling of water gliding down and around his skin, he steps out of the shower, only to be greeted by the same gnawing sensation as before.

“Mark? Are you done yet?” Alex questioned in a quick stride, peering through the bedroom doorframe, watching while the lock to the bathroom door clicked open.

“Hi, you were right, a c-cold shower does h-help,” Mark chatters out with a goofy smile.

“Oh honey- it’s summer and you’re still freezing. Come on, go put a shirt on,” Alex reasons while turning Mark around and steering him towards the closet, “Do you wanna watch a movie? I made hot chocolate,” Alex stretches his neck to peer over Mark’s shoulder as he gets dressed.

Yeah, I would like that, Mark thinks to himself before he wraps his arms around Alex’s shoulders. He was at peace, no man or woman could make him feel better.

I’m actually gonna add something serious, the person talking about psychic damage, you could not be more right. Because how in the world did i go through both nonconsentual kissing & touching, and also being choked the life out of, AND THEN GO ON TO LOVE IVANTILL ☹️
