Engineering a PR disasterclass of this severity when you're an underperforming nonsense team and your parent company is also an underperforming nonsense team who's boss sexually harassed one of his employees and is now fighting a customer team for the championship after fumbling an insane lead? I genuinely dont understand the point of purposefully drawing that level of attention to yourself with 6 races left in the season . Also letting people run rampant with speculation and exacerbating the situation? Purposefully letting things come to a boil like this is legitimately fascinating stuff for a company like Red Bull which is entirely a PR enterprise, they don't sell cars or parts like other teams, they literally are supposed to sell marketing.

I just saw the Danny Ric News. Tbh I feel devastated by it.

I just got into this sport a few months back and a lot of it had to do with the man Daniel Riccardo is. That eternal sunshine smile of his melted my heart on the spot.

I still remember watching that Monaco Race and being awed, absolutely blown away by him and pulling up the highlights of that race after watching that DTS episode.

All I want to say is, he deserved to get a better sign off than he got. He deserved to race the season till its end and be sent off in style. I understand his performance hasn't been upto the mark this past year, but that does not, absolutely does not discredit his legacy as an F1 racer.

I just wish him all the best on his new adventure, whatever he chooses it to be.

You will be missed dearly on the grid Danny, there won't be another Honey Badger on the track, as magnificent as you.

the scariest thing for me rn is that if lando wins the wdc, haters will say that he doesn’t deserve it, etc etc etc, but if lando doesn’t win the wdc, then the haters will say that we knew he couldn’t do it, he’s a bad driver, etc etc etc.

i really don’t think people understand how big a 60+ point difference is. it’s a huge gap to cover up, especially with only 8 more races (and some sprints).

if lando, by some miracle, wins, it’s going to be absolutely deserved because the man was able to cover up that 60+ point difference and beat max. that’s a big fucking deal.

if lando doesn’t win, which is more likely, it’s still going to be a big deal because he was able to give max a proper competition this season, just like charles, and just like lewis.

the point difference last year was 575-285 (max-sergio), and the year before that was 454-308 (max-charles).

lando has gotten closer to beating max than anyone has in the past two years. and, i think he deserves a helluva lot of respect for that.
