Quote
This year I learned that pain is inevitable. Loved ones will be lost whether it be death or simply growing apart. People will disappoint you and no matter how much you may love them, sometimes you need to walk away for yourself. It’s commendable to plan for the future and to visualize the things you want in life. Most likely none of it will happen and life will take you on a journey you never planned for. The number one lesson I have learned this year though is, No matter how unbearable the pain may be, love conquers everything and it can be found in the most unexpected places. We just have to be willing to invite it in and give it back. To cherish those who continue to love us even when we feel we don’t deserve it. That kind of love is hard to find and it will leave if it is not nourished, especially the love we need for ourselves.

I don’t have time to grab the actual post with all the info, but reminder that Net Neutrality is being contested on the 21st of December, when (Verizon hopes) we will all be distracted by Christmas shopping.
Don’t get distracted. Spam the piss out of your representatives and explain to them why Net Neutrality is not just an issue for you as a person, but it will affect EVERYONE, including their pasty, rich, white asses. Online commerce will DIE without Neutrality. That’s less money into the economy, less circulation, and all-round a weaker and angrier country. Intimidate them by saying if they vote to repeal Net Neutrality, they will lose yours to put them back in office, and HOLD TO IT.
Don’t let up. Don’t let your anxieties about talking to someone important kill your voice. That’s what they’re hoping for. Net Neutrality is what helps college students do the research they need for good grades, what keeps small, home-operated businesses alive. What puts food on the table. What makes it possible for employers to find candidates. What makes it possible for those candidates to advertise themselves.
Cookie-cutter messages that bots send will get ignored, most likely. Make up your own unique message. It’ll get through any spam filter they might have. Emphasize the importance of a free Net as an agent of democracy. If Net Neutrality dies, then they will have to pay extra to set up domains for their silly pseudo-patriotic campaigns.
And check to make sure you’re not getting forced to unfollow the Net Neutrality tag on Tumblr. Verizon is getting angry about us being so determined and vocal. Be a thorn in their side, and dig in deep. They can’t keep us quiet forever.

“that is the problem. if she wanted to dance i would let her wreck the furniture. if she wanted to cook i would let her burn down the house. and if she wanted to scream i would let her deafen me. I’ve never loved anyone enough to let them destroy me but God, she could take me by the throat and my eyes would sparkle at the mere inches between us.”

“When you love someone you’ll let them get away with murder,” she told me back then. “Even if that murder is your own.”
I never thought it would apply to me so literally.

I hope you find somebody who calls you beautiful like it’s your name and calls you just to tell you they love you and buys you flowers when you’re sad and always texts you back and has eyes for only you and treats you how you deserve to be treated
