     Ah– Alice turns her head with surprise. Is this sassy little gremlin still here? She would have thought she’d disappear after relinquishing her prize of a room.

     Calling attention to her sword, Alice gives no answer, keeping it by her side gripped tightly still. Of course, she knew it was flimsy, but… Did it just make her feel more comfortable? 

     As for her other comment… 

     “Look like… what?” Was there something on her face?

“You know, this?” All emotion vanishing from her face, doing her best to replicate a deadpan face. In addition to slouching her shoulders in an attempt to look exhausted. “‘...I don’t care.’” Which was said in an overly depressive tone. Her attempt at trying to replicate her. In the next moment she returned to normal. 

“It’s not like anyone really want’s to be here anyways. But it’s not like there’s anything we can do about it.”

     Alice can’t restrain the twitch under her eye as the kit’s arrival officiates their team name. She couldn’t deny the goth part but… Really?

     Alice moves forward to pick up the kit, shooting a blank glare over to Flandre as a cautionary ‘think before you speak.’

     With the kit in her arms she turns to face the other two, dashing away the question in her mind why she didn’t just say four goths. Both of them looked quite young. They all did.

     “–Alice.” She speaks after a few moments. They were going to be working together, perhaps it’s only polite…

     “…We should get moving, we can pick a location while we walk, I think.” She suggests. If they seemed in agreement she would put forth her little Goth foot and begin the journey.

For a moment, she simply stares at the kit that’s fallen in front of them, blinking dark eyes in surprise. She…finds herself at a lack for words upon realising what exactly has just happened. Perhaps she should have offered something first.

“I suppose there’s no fixing it now….” Sunako closes her eyes for a moment with a small puff of the cheeks, before shaking her head. Well, what’s done is done. She doubts they’d let them fix it, so all they can do it continue on.

“Perhaps somewhere less populated? Around the edge of the city might be good.” As long as they manage to set up a couple before dawn rolls around. After turning on one mary-jane clad heel, she pauses. “Oh…my name is Sunako. It’s nice to meet you both.”

YUKARI SIGHS AS THERE IS LITTLE to be done at this point to fix or even alleviate what has just occurred without her – or the others’, for that matter – input. There’s a certain quiet fury rising in her chest, but it would do them no good as a team were she to voice or put it into action. Good for miss Scarlet, that.

<<Moving on, then. Shall we?>> It’s said with such a smile that one would almost be concerned were it not for the eerily cheerful tone of voice that accompanies it.

<<The young lady Alice shall be in charge of our kit for the time being, though it’s completely within reason to pass it around if another desires to point and shoot, I suppose. Or if you’re truly that bored.>> Yukari yawns, then points off into the distance toward a towering, half-ruined spire of crumbling stone. Suitable. <<Let’s be on our way. I don’t feel like stopping the night for something like this, even if we do have to hike the entire way.>>

She was absolutely frozen with shock. Never would she have imagined an offhand comment of hers would have this much of an impact. And now because of it, she was stuck on a team called “Grandma and the Goths”, how wonderful.

Her mood and excitement about this has evaporated the moment that package hit the ground.So she had nothing to say when Yukari suggested that Alice carried the gun. Even wordlessly passing it off to her without a struggle.

“... it’s Flandre.” Refusing to look at any of her team mates in the eye out of embarrassment. At the very least, they didn’t have to waste any moonlight on a name this way. “Sorry about that.”

     The stark contrast between their body language is almost laughable. Alice watches behind her sword as the little girl simply walks on past, unbothered by the threat of a wooden weapon ready to pierce at any point.

     After a couple minutes of watching her walk around the kitchen, Alice’s muscles begin to relax. She straightens up, sword by her side – grip still tightened, but more curiosity and fatigue compelled her than malice.

     “…I don’t care.” She glances to the rooms in question. None of them looked worth fighting over. 

Good, at least she could at least have that. Running off to claim her room, she felt the need to stay behind for just a little bit longer. Lingering by the corner to look at the her again. Only just now really noticing the wooden sword in her hand.

“Mmmmm I don’t think that sword is going to do anything for you. And do you always look like that?”

     Indeed the overwhelming strength of the small girl had proven to be detrimental to Alice’s plans of solitude. Try as she might, embarrassment tingled at her cheeks when Flandre introduces her as her “grumpy” plus one.

     Glancing to the two women who had gathered along with them, she couldn’t help but notice how elegantly they poised themselves. Was this some sort of fairy-tale tea party?

     …Not that she was one to talk, really. At any rate, death was not an option in attaining her goals. So, Alice thought, for now…

     “…We should get going.”

“I see….There is strength in numbers! I hope we can all get along.” The smile on her face is small, but very much there. She can’t guarantee she’ll be very useful, but this should make it easier for all of them. With a rustle of skirts, she turns her attention to the taller girl’s statement, before back to the ominous creature in the sky.

“Yes, I suppose we should. However, we have to decide on a name to proceed, don’t we?” Long red nails tap against her chin, a soft hum exiting her mouth. Something simple, but fitting…well, she wasn’t good at this sort of thing. “Do any of you have any ideas you’d like to share?”

THE GIRLS ALL SEEM READY AND WILLING to take care of the matter at hand, which is fine with Yukari. She’d rather be as hands-off as possible – willing to step in should anything go south, so to speak – and allow them to take care of everything. If not, well… that’s why she’s here, isn’t she?

“Yeah... and those eclipses are annoying too. Sometimes it’s fine to go out but you never know how long you have.” Hopefully they’ll be somewhat scheduled so she can work around it.

“I wonder what could make for a good team name...” It should be something that says something about all of them right? Or something that sounds cool. Unfortunately time wasn’t on their side given the urgency of the matter, so she couldn’t spend hours trying to come up with something good.

“I don’t really have anything. Right now it’s just looking like Team Grandma and the Goths.” Pointing to Yukari then the other two for each of their titles, leaving herself out of the equation. In the next moment their acceptance kit came crashing down towards them. The team has been locked in.

“AH! WAIT! TAKE IT BACK THAT’S NOT THE NAME!”

“It’s a bit scary…isn’t it?” She doesn’t sound entirely too afraid despite her words, and she instead opts to fold her hands carefully, blank gaze turning from the woman at her side to the other two in the immediate vicinity.

“But, I’d rather not die. Or…rather, I can’t. I don’t suppose the rest of you feel the same?”

“Mmhmm, that’s me” Which was oddly cheerful despite the situation. Her sister always told her to watch out for this youkai in particular, but how bad could she really be?

“I thought I was going to be the only one from Gensokyo here. I wonder what happened to that place. Oh, I brought a friend.” Showcasing the woman she dragged along with her for the two to see. “She seemed a little grumpy so I thought this game could help to cheer her up a bit.”

     The swift entry of this – this —– child immediately puts Alice on the defensive, wooden sword pointed and knees bent as if ready to strike.

     She stares back as the girl looks incredulously, as if she hadn’t expected anyone else to be here. Truth be told, Alice hadn’t expected it either. No more than she had expected such an eclectic-looking person. Was she a type of Nightmare…? If so, then….

     “…Yes.” She narrows her eyes, still in battle-ready position. “…Who are you.”

“Nobody told me I had to share with other people... this sucks.”

Forced to room with a bunch of people she didn’t know, it seemed oddly familiar to her. At the very least there was more space between them all. Ignoring the threat of the wooden sword, she began to wander over to the kitchen to check the fridge and cabinets for anything to eat.

“You didn’t pick a room right? I kinda wanted to have the first choice.”

“Ah! I know what you are!” Freezing immediately before him, trying to flick through memories of all the books she’s read and movies she’s seen. Certainly not a Japanese youkai so those can be crossed out.

“I got it! You’re a gnome right?” Couldn’t be any further off.

The heat came just as suddenly as the sun did. Entirely unprepared for both and caught like a fish out of water, she had to get moving quick. Managing to pull herself over to a shaded area, she collapsed on the spot.

“It’s hot...” Was that smoke trailing off her?

Going to a beach was a rare occurrence for her. There were lots of reasons for a vampire not to go to one, but it wasn’t like she really cared about that anyways. It wasn’t until she was plucked from her spot by rocks that she realized other people could be around.

“It’s fine. Sakuya will-” Oh right, she wasn’t here. “Uh... I think it’ll come out. And I’m fine.” Raising her hands to reveal several small cuts across her fingers. It seems the crabs weren’t too thrilled about her poking.

     “–So that’s where you were!” 

    Martha’s hand dives behind a few rocks to snatch at the collar of one particular little vampire, who she had found playing among the little sandcrabs hidden away from the shore. Luckily the christmas light-esque protrusions in place of wings stuck out quite well against the beachy backdrop.

     “Jeeze, your dress is all dirty! And your shoes… Oh, nevermind that – are you hurt anywhere?” Squatting down herself to inspect the blonde child, Martha is on a mission.

When she heard that she was getting her own house, she was ecstatic. An entire house all to herself, being her own boss with nobody like her sister or roommates to worry about. Barging right on in, she was shocked and confused to find someone else in the house. What was she doing here and why did it look like there were flames coming off her head?

sup y’all, it’s me. it’s ya boy Zab... or Devin. Call me either or anything, it’s all good with me. 23 years old and now a biology major, was previously a comp sci major. I’ve been in citta for a pretty long time but the past year and a half to two I’ve been pretty distant. If you’ve been there a while, you might remember me either for Homura (gunsoftime or @rushifua.) Or even for Flandre (this account here). But isola has me very interested so I’m planning on being around a lot more than I was recently. My cast around here will likely be in flux for a bit, so an updated roster will probably be kept here. figured i would do one of these since everyone else is.

I’ve been around for a few years now. Joined up as Homura Akemi (guns-of-time) way back in 2014. Experience here has kinda been a mixed bag, negatively lately which I’ve spoken about if you know where to find me. Met a few good people around here that I still talk to to this day. Which is more than I could ask for. Still weird to see it go since you know, this group has kinda always been around.

I’m hoping that the new group will help to revitalize what I found entertaining about this group in the first place. And possibly make me want to be a part of it as I’ve been standing with one foot out the door for the past year. That said, I do hope the new group does well, it would be great to see it succeed where citta failed in terms of story, worldbuilding, events, etc.

I’m unsure if I am going to go ahead and immediately join the new group. But I hope the best for all of you. In the meantime, I might put more work into my indie accounts. Maybe I’ll come to a conclusion once more details on it comes out. For anyone wondering who I even was since I think I’m pretty much a shadow at this point, I was Youmu Konpaku, Remilia Scarlet, Kaguya Houraisan, and previously Homura Akemi and Bondrewd. Don’t think I’m going to be posting my OCC contacts like others are but if you really want to contact me, simply ask and I’ll provide privately.
