@bexiaoli
quanzhe was hardly expecting to link up with one of his old friends when he first moved to south korea. he'd been more prepared to know no one and struggle making friends around the language barrier. but fate had a funny way of bringing the people that quanzhe needed back into his life at the right time.
so it hadn't taken him very long after moving to south korea to run into xiaoli again. and quanzhe had of course immediately clung on to him being that he was the first familiar person that quanzhe had seen. it had also helped that xiaoli spoke the same language as quanzhe during a time when quanzhe didn't know much korean.
so even though quanzhe was more fluent in korean and had more friends now he would always make time for xiaoli. first because xiaoli was his friend from childhood and second because xiaoli had been there for him during a time when quanzhe had struggled immensely.
they were on one of their regular coffee dates, or rather quanzhe had called up xiaoli and begged him to come try out this new cafe that had opened up as he did rather regularly. so quanzhe liked to think of it as their standing coffee date.
"so what's been happening with you, lili gege?" quanzhe asked in mandarin as he sat down with the two drinks that he'd just gotten from the barista. "i feel like i've been talking non-stop about me me me. i want to hear about you too." quanzhe had been rattling on earlier about rude customers at his job who had gotten angry with him for having an accent. a very animated little rant as quanzhe was wont to do. even now he couldn't quite leave it at one question. "aren't you glad i made you come out? this little cafe is so cute."

hello there! sorry for the wait on this intro i passed out last night. anyway hi i'm rae (any pronouns). and this here is quanzhe you can read his profile here and check out his pinterest over here. below the cut is a summary of what you can expect.
quanzhe here is a chatterbox, he can and will talk until he loses his voice completely. especially if the person he's talking to doesn't seem particularly receptive to him quanzhe will continue talking to fill the silence because he's feeling nervous
a former douyin-er turned tiktokker his popularity on douyin was better because he went viral near the beginning of that app's life and he does okay on tiktok but not quite to the same level
mostly his feed is just funny skits that he thinks up however he's been known to do a few dance challenges or vocal challenges here and there because he loves singing and dancing
speaking of which you're looking at a former theater kid, and quanzhe has all the dramatics to prove it. the tiniest inconvenience WILL make him disintegrate
he speaks english, mandarin fluently (thanks international school) and is almost there with korean but he still has his brain fart moments where it's easier to try to communicate in a different language
moved to south korea when he was 18 (roughly two years ago) because his dad was getting remarried to a korean woman who had her own family and quanzhe wanted to try and foster a decent relationship with them
the results have been.....meh so far his step siblings are 17 and 19 respectively and quanzhe did not know a lick of korean when he moved so the language barrier made things a bit awkward as in the beginning they kind of had to communicate through quanzhe's dad atp they're more like distant roommates than step siblings which is disappointing to quanzhe who is the biggest social butterfly alive
anyway if you'd like to plot with him feel free to let me know! i'm open to almost anything and i'll hopefully have a page for ideas up soon
