You had been playing chess with Ningguang for a few months now when you got invited to go up. It was a simple arrangement- you and her met up a few times a month to enjoy a game of chess before departing and waiting for the next time. You were friendly, but not close. You would share small details about your life, about little tid-bits here and there that you thought Ningguang might find interesting.

So it’s not necessarily a surprise to have her offer to show you around the jade chamber, lady Ningguang’s floating palace in the sky you’ve only looked up and seen from afar. It’s a great honor, but one you’ve planned for to happen.

What you didn’t plan for was her not letting you leave.

Honeyed words fail to soothe your ever-growing worries as Ningguang finds more and more reasons to keep you up with her in the sky, your requests to leave becoming more urgent, more demanding. You start to raise your voice around the end of day 2, start trying to find your own way out day 3, and Ningguang starts being a little less passive day 4.

She holds you sweetly in her arms as you two rest on her extremely expensive sheets, expertly deflecting or gaslighting you about ever mean thing you have to say to her :( she knows your upset, that’s why she just continues to hold you with her until you eventually give up from your own exhaustion.

She lays you down in your now shared bed, pressing a small kiss to your cheek before telling you that she unfortunately has business to attend too. Ningguang enjoys playing difficult games, but she can’t help but be glad this one is coming to close <3

Now we have been away from our city and our beautiful home for 9 months. We have lost our house that my father built stone by stone and he worked 24/7 to build this house. But the occupation destroyed it, and no house remained in my beautiful city remained intact.😭💔💔

We are now living in a tent or semi-tent, which does not protect us from the cold of winter or the rain. Our lives are very difficult.😔😭

This is my home before the war and after the war how it became💔💔💔

Before: After:

We have been through many wars before, but this war was not like the ones before it. Our lives were turned upside down. We became displaced from one place to another. We are the Anas family, residents of northern Gaza, specifically in the Shujaiya area. In the first week of the war, we fled our home because everyone considered our home to be in a dangerous area. We moved to the Rimal area, specifically in the middle of Gaza. There, we received the news that our home, which contained all our beautiful memories, was bombed. Suddenly, it was gone!!! Just thinking that your home, which you worked hard on and built from scratch and took a lot of your life, was gone in less than a second ! After a while, we left the sands to the Al-Zawaida area because of the heavy shelling. We stayed there for about two weeks, and then the terrorist army asked us to go to Rafah. We actually fled for the fourth time to Rafah and stayed there for two months, some of the most difficult days of our lives, as there was no way or means to live a normal life. 😔😔 After that, because of the invasion of Rafah, we moved to Deir al-Balah. Now, we are in very difficult and oppressive circumstances.

We are asking you with all shame to support and stand by us in these difficult circumstances that everyone knows because we lost our home, our work and any stable source of income. Thank you all.

I'm trying to figure out how I want to characterize Anaxa in my stories.

I am completely and utterly smitten with him but I've zero clue on how to write him. The option of making him into the stereotypical "cold hearted genius who takes you for himself because you make him feel things" feels too simplistic, too easy. At least with Mydei and Phainon - especially Phainon - I at least can go into a general direction and just stick to that.

But Anaxa? Especially if I want to write him as a yandere? Gosh. I'm stumped! 9/10 when I usually get stumped it's because I'm too tired to write but in this specific case my brain is just blank. I'm open to ideas and suggestions, I legit need them.
