My Media Lifestyle

In the 19th century, media networks was not that popular, wherein most people are having a hard time to get essential information and to connect them with other people. Many of us knows how to manipulate media networks now, even kids has an idea in manipulating media, its true enough that media can make our life a lot more easier, convenient and productive. It’s really a big help for me as a student to become media and information literacy, it’s easy for me to gain knowledge, to get essential information and also being a media and information literacy will enhance my education through effective communication.

Every night is the time of my media life and I usually open first my social media accounts, my facebook, instagram, twitter and my tumblr, wherein I tend to communicate with other people, like my friends and love one’s, meeting new friends and to get any informations to the people I know and I want to know, I can see what’s happening to their day, their happy moments, what are they thinking and I also loved watching different vlogs from other people, wherein I spend a lot of my money for this to so I can watch in youtube, I do this every weekend or sometimes at school, when I have a free time.

The important thing in my social media is, I can see the half of their lives. Sometimes, when there is nothing to do, I tend to edit my picture in media like picsart, vsco and in instagram, also, I edited some incredible videos using filmmakers and splice. Since I enjoyed using this media I usually tend to forget what time is it and neglects the things that I needed to do, my responsibilities in our house, as a daughter and as a student and the more important things that I needed to do because of my obsession with such social networking sites, and that’s a bad thing in social media, a bad habits if you do not know how to handle it. And the other thing is, you also get a wrong information, which is the fake news, and some wrong information that can be dangerous in our health. This happens because media and information literacy might lure people to abuse and misuse their skills when accessing the internet. I usually get involved to this especially when the information is about how to be prettier, that’s why understanding media and information is really important.

But then, everytime I have an assignment, project, research and thesis in school media and information has a big impact in it, the place that I usually spend my timein my studies. Because media and information literacy make my study more convenient because I can easily access and assess information. It also exercises my critical thinking, and through critical thinking, a student like me is enable to analyze and evaluate the logical connection between ideas. If I would rate myself as a media practitioner is 8/10 because I already know how to analyze, evaluate and to access but there’s also some media that I can’t understand and doesn’t know how to use.

Media and information are good and very useful in every way, that it became part of my life.Yes, it can be good but also has a bad consequences in our lives. It can affect our lives not only in the things that become viral or trending but also the time that media can consumed you.
