Make the lamp yourself out of plastic bottle

Make the lamp yourself out of plastic bottle
Tumblr media
Today we will show you a simple and creative craft idea for DIY lamp made of plastic bottle and with cool rose decoration made of coffee filters. See how you can turn the empty plastic bottle of a disinfectant into an interesting and chic table lamp. Of course you can use a plastic bottle of juice or other liquids for this crafting idea as soon as it is big enough and made of a stronger plastic material. A fantastic idea for waste recycling!
What will you need to make your new table lamp yourself – a larger, round or oval white (translucent) plastic bottle with a flat bottle base, eg of a detergent, coffee filter, the number of which depends on the size of the bottle (in the example shown 44 roses inserted), power cable 2m, socket, switch, plug, 2 screws with nut for fixing the socket and hot glue gun.
Fantastic idea for DIY table lamp with shining paper roses
How can you make this cool lamp yourself? We start with the instructions.
Cut the plastic bottle in two parts or remove the upper part of the bottle. You will only use the bottom bottle section for the DIY lamp. To make it easier for you to cut the bottle from all sides at the same height, you can make a mark with a pen beforehand. If the edge is not cut clean, go around with the cutter again. The edge must be exclusively smooth. The edge must be exclusively smooth. Then turn the cut part upside down and place the socket in the middle to mark or push through the location of the two screws.
How to make a creative DIY lamp yourself – step by step
The next step is to make a 1.5cm hole for the power cable at the bottom, side of the bottom of the bottle. First connect the cable to the socket, attach the socket to the ground and only then thread the cable through the hole. Mount the switch and the plug.
It’s time for DIY decoration with paper roses. How to do this, we’ll show right away. Using hot glue, place the first DIY rose about 1cm away from the cable holes, leaving the hole more or less hidden. Then stick a rose above, next to the cut edge of the bottle. Depending on how big the bottle you are using, consider how many roses you can still put between the two glued flowers. Do not make a point marker with a pen as they will be visible from the inside of the lamp. To glue the coffee filter roses more easily on the plastic bottle, you can first attach only the outer rose part.

Creative table lamp with roses as a DIY decoration
And here is the guide for the homemade roses from coffee filters with pictures and description step by step.
Step 1- Wet the coffee filter and leave it stretched on the kitchen counter too dry. Then cut off the side edges. You have to cut a few of the coffee filters horizontally in three parts and remove the tip or the small pointed part. The remaining semi-circular stripes, which are about 4.5cm wide, you must halve now.
Tinkering with coffee filters – DIY decoration with roses from coffee filters
Step 2 – The other dried coffee filters should be cut vertically in 3 parts after removing the side edges. These trapezoidal parts will need you for the rose seeds. Draw a snail on each of these three coffee filter parts and carefully cut them along the contour.
Craft roses from coffee filters yourself – step 2
Step 3 – The snail strips should be between 1.5 cm and 2 cm wide. Start rolling up the auger, as shown in the following picture. Tighten the rolled-up core with some hot glue drops.
DIY roses from coffee filters – Step 3
Step 4 – From the other coffee filter strips that you cut horizontally and cut in half at the beginning, you will first tinker the outer parts of the roses. Take the smaller of the two strips and using hot glue, connect the two strip edges along the width. Knead the edge of the smaller opening and close this side by attaching the kneaded paper with a hot glue drip.
DIY roses from coffee filters – Step 4
Step 5 and 6 – Do the same with the larger strips that are the outermost parts of the paper rose. You can now fix the three rose pieces together. Place them in each other and use hot glue to attach the parts from below. Your DIY rose from coffee filters is already done!

Concrete in the garden - a modern garden design
The material concrete as an interesting solution for modern garden design. Concrete is a versatile construction material with special properties that allows you to create all the shapes and volumes you can imagine. Due to its formability, water impermeability, different design options in surface formation and its resistance to high temperature and chemical attack, the concrete is the perfect solution for a modern outdoor design. Any kind of furniture, floor coverings, as well as creative DIY objects for decoration are made of concrete. In our article: Crafting ideas with concrete, you will find many cool ideas for DIY artworks and today we want to introduce some interesting designer concrete pieces of furniture for outdoor use.
Cool terrace design with concrete garden furniture from the Drillium collection by opiary
The concrete is in principle perceived as a cold material. The things you can tinker with it create a visual illusion of softness through a textured surface. As an example, we have selected the garden bench “Buenos Aires” and the “Chesterfield” sofa. Each fold and every detail of the typical upholstered furniture is absorbed by the concrete and embodied in every detail. The concrete furniture looks like a stone textile made and still give the feeling of a soft and comfortable seat. Another example of “busy” concrete pieces are the wooden stools “Knotty” by Hard Goods. The cast concrete design pieces are hollow cast and imitation of tree stumps painted in white or gray, which can be used as a side table, stool, or footrest. A fantastic idea for design of the garden or the terrace with garden furniture made of concrete in wood look.
