Update: OMFG
So two things. First, we found a place. It's... a mess. It belonged to the late brother of a friend, he was a hoarder and found deceased 4 years ago and she's not been in good enough health to even start cleaning up the mess. We'll be crashing with my in-laws for a while, getting a few rooms liveable, then moving in and chipping away at the rest of the disaster, doing small repairs where we can and taking stock of what larger repairs need to be done, all the while saving up to upgrade when it's done because she's not charging us much of anything for rent. Second, remember THIS zine?
I've been passing them around campus since the spring semester started, and an English professor that I've known for 20 years (YE GODS WE ALL GOT OLD!!!!) got her hands on it. She used to be my teacher, back when I was a teenager.
She squealed over it, handed me a twenty "For ink and paper!" and BEGGED me to get the next one ready by Feb 1. So yeah, there will definitely be a next issue of this zine, it's the most successful thing I've ever written and I am STOKED!!!!
My English prof friends are treating my goofy little punk zines as actual "literary art."
BTW, if you haven't read it yet, you can download it for free on my KoFi page: https://ko-fi.com/squeesquaredstudios.

i think everyone deserves a large rock a short distance from their home. i dont like that discussions about walkable cities never include plans to allow wider access to large rocks. the people need large rock
