Welp it looks like all jo anns will be closed by the end of may. I'm still waiting for more outlets to cover this but it looks like they're done. I really don't know what I'm going to do like there's no fabric stores within 90 minutes of me that's not a quilt shop or upholstery shop. 😟

I'm sad, my local jo anns is one of the ones shutting down and I went to it to grab some fabric and it was just depressing. I really feel for the workers, my first job also went out of business and it sucks. It was also sad to see my little girl scouts rewards thing gone too on the app. In a weird way it made me happy cuz I used to love working with the scouts. Grabbed some fabric that I need for a project and I really don't know what I'm going to do if all the jo anns go away. 😟

Big lots is selling their displays and I grabbed this hat display for $25 for my furuit heads/masks. Super cursed looking but I like being able to see everyone and it's on wheels too!

Also here's a pic with everyone labeled. Half are cosplays and half are original characters.

Overview of some topics when it comes to drawing characters who are burn survivors.

DISCLAIMER. Please keep in mind that this is an introductory overview for drawing some burn scars and has a lot of generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People. I'm calling this introductory because I hope to get people to actually do their own research before drawing disabled & visibly different characters rather than just making stuff up. Think of it as a starting point and take it with a grain of salt (especially if you have a very different art style from mine).

Talking about research and learning... don't make your burn survivor characters evil. Burn survivors are normal people and don't deserve to be constantly portrayed in such a way.
