Hii just found out you're not gonna update your stories in ao3 and squidgeworld .. so what is patreon where can I find it

Patreon dot com is a place where people pay for content that creators make. While I have fanfics on there I also have my own works (first drafts) going up there as well. Also I’ll be putting up the link to my Shopify store.

In hindsight, SMG is owed a big apology for how she was treated on Buffy.

IIRC, partly why the Faith spin off never happened after Buffy ended was Gellar flat out asked Dushku if she really wanted to deal with Joss for the next few years of her life.

OTW Website and Donation Form Are Down

As of now AO3 is back up. However, in the past hour the OTW website and the donation platform have become inaccessible. We believe it is part of the same attack first made on the Archive. We will be providing updates via this account.

We also want to alert fans that on Twitter someone is using the name AO3_Status_ (note the second underscore). If you are on Twitter, please block and report this account. 

The fake account is impersonating our service status account and attempting to scam AO3 users out of money. Fans on all platforms should be wary of anyone soliciting money on behalf of the OTW or its projects at this time. (The real donation form is currently down due to a DDoS.)

Open Doors and Legal Advocacy pages are also not available at this time. Our Fanlore project is being worked on and should be back today.  Our Transformative Works and Cultures site has not been affected. Thank you for being patient while we restore services!

What is squidgeworld and why does it look just like ao3?

Hey! Squidgeworld.org is the only other fanfic site other than Ao3 that (at this moment in time) installed the OTW code which is free to download and use to set up your fanfic site! 

As such basically all the skins I've been making for Ao3 will work well on SquidgeWorld Archive as well (I've tested it. The dyslexia skin works fine, the pride skins too! Some things reacts differently because SqWA’s default skin is slightly different from Ao3′s default).

While SqWA is indeed a new archive (it was installed in november 2020, importing works from the historical archive WWOMB) squidge.org itself has been around fandom for the longest time providing fandom friendly hosting (web hosting, mailing list, image hosting) to those who needed it.

In the end, SqWA is an extra place where you can choose to put your fanfic in or where you can search for new (or old!) fanfics to read!

From inspecting the AO3 code I do, however, believe the AO3 software is technically incapable of meeting the OTW's legal obligations under 18 USC 2258(A)(h) regarding preservation of information, specifically subsections (2) and (3).

Since Squidgeworld is running on the same software, I want to make sure this is something you're aware of, and either have fixed or will soon?

While I'm not familiar with what this code is asking, if the OTW code cannot support it, then most likely SquidgeWorld can't support it. I will look into it.

Edit: With regards to keeping data for 90 days, no, the software cannot do this. But backups of data can be (and I do) keep backups for MONTHS. So while the software can't keep it, Archivists absolutely can.

Edit the second: There is absolutely a way for the code to keep the data and the system is setup now with that option! h/t to archivist @sl-walker for pointing me in the right direction!
