So the reason the writers had Jughead live with Archie is so the viewers would care when his house caught fire right?

They wanted us to be all 'oh no the house is on fire'

and not all 'here's some more petrol and matches Reggie, go nuts'

archie is the worst character on this entire show and i no longer want archie-toni friendship because she’s mean to jughead (who is also a serpent by BLOOD) but nice with archie (who is a fake ass ally and literally just has a tattoo and that’s it.)

It’s not that I don’t support an Archie x Toni friendship, I do. I would. But I find it so interesting that they finally decided to give them interactions while Toni is unfriendly with Jughead. So what, now Archie is a Serpent ally, and gets to have a friendship with Toni, and still has a Serpent tattoo on his arm when he was an enemy of the Serpents but only had that cordial connection to them through Jughead’s authority. AND yet he fucks Jughead’s ex girlfriend right under his nose? I could go on and on about how wrong they’ve done Jughead, Bughead, and Jarchie in general, and just how unlikeable they have made Archie while trying to paint him as “a hero” of Riverdale. The writers can’t seem to make commitments in any new direction without leaving a bad taste in the audience’s mouths. They have exhausted every avenue at an attempt to make the viewers give a fuck about Archie or his storyline, so they finally resorted to handing Betty’s affections over to his character, along with Jughead’s entire MO to make him interesting, and it’s still not working.

I agree Betty is more than the guy she dates

I also agree Jughead is more than the lady he dates

They both deserve happiness, to be equal to whom they want to be with. Not put on a pedestal or an award.

However I don't think Betty right now is doing the right thing, she's a fictional character so whatever, yet she can do what she wants I don't have to agree with it.

Just like Jughead can do what he wants and I may or may not agree with that.

So let's also not just make Jughead a prize Betty gets.

However Archie is kind of doing that in my opinion.

my theory is that jug has been missing/dead(?) for the last three years (post college) and that’s why his debt is so bad. his credit card bills or student loans or whatever haven’t been paid in like three years and that’s why they're so bad. maybe he was hiding from someone so he pretended to be dead/missing again? penny peabody?

they gotta stop giving veronica slack....she claims to resent her dad for all the stuff he does (like try to kill jughead, or hire a fake black hood to scare fred, send her bf to jail and make him live alone in a cabin) but she still directly benefits from his doings and even wanted back into the family business

since Skeet left the show, its implied that we’ll never get Falice...and since we couldn’t have both bh and falice (gets waaay too weird in the family tree ie. jughead’s dad would be dating his gf’s mom whose also his half brother’s mom).....bh must be endgame. that is all.
